PSG Worth a Punt?

I think about a week ago they were 10:1 to win this season's champions league.

If sheer club loyalty didn't put you off and if you were gambling people, would you have taken them at that price?

I think they looked good last night. But they will face sterner tests than that!

How do you assess their prospects?

i think it'll depend what business they do in January

the keeper looks decent but I didnt think the left back was up to much and Motta may struggle against better midfields

Rabiot
Verratti
Mbappe
Di Maria
Draxler
Neymar
Cavani

you'll find it hard to find a better attacking group than that

again madrids, man for man when you include the midfields of each team is clearly better

Marcelo (can include him as he's so attacking)
Modric
Kroos
Isco
Bale
Benzema
Ronaldo
Asensio

I think the midfield and balance the full backs offer Madrid would still see them overcome PSG over two legs okay, but in a one off game PSG undoubtedly have the attacking talent to beat anyone.

They didn't have Neyms and Mbaps last year though

Rabiot hides against the better sides.

When push comes to shove Cavani will let you down. Missed a huge chance against Barca last year that would almost certainly have put them through.

Don't fancy PSG yet. Their business this summer was very Galatico'ish, the lack of balance in their team wasn't addressed at all, in fact made worse with Matuidi's sale.

They're a team that'll rely on individual brilliance to mount a CL challenge. Verratti will need to have his best season ever as well.
