Lovren..

Is showing the kind of form he showed on his first season with us..

Under Klopp he has improved a lot and seemed to look a lot more solid especially with Matip next to him..

Does anyone think the very public persuite or VvD along with the fans very public desire for the club to sign him obviously to play in place of Lovren himself has actually had a negative effect on his confidence and as a result his performances? I personally do it must be like working in a job where you know you are not really wanted..

He needs to get over it and sort himself out quickly as his form this season has been terrible..

Now this is from a United fan who doesn't watch Liverpool that much but is Matip really all that either?

He's a very good player but he also makes silly mistakes. He's excellent on the ball however and you need that in our system from at least one of the centre backs. Personally I'd partner him with Gomez.

If Lovren is affected then he's a pu55y and we need to get rid perhaps.

This is now the nature of the beast and he must be able to handle it. If Mig has improved despite what has happened, Lovren shouldn't have an excuse. He should dig and outdo the competition, like Mig and Moreno. The club needs competition, as opposed to security in one's position.

Lovren and moreno appear to be non reliable, too many mistakes but the mf isnt helping.

Lovrens never been good enough for us. Too many folk blinded by analysis from carra and nev saying he was amazing at soton. The guys single handily been responsible for so many goals im shocked he's still a mainstay at the club.

Completely fed up with him and he's a total pusssssy too. Exactly what we don't need

He won't be playing for us next season but its a season too late

I'm done with him he's a walking mistake

So he made a very high profile error for the first Sevilla goal, but what other huge mistakes has he made so far this season? 2 clean sheets out of 3 in the league, unbeaten in the CL.

He isn't the best defender but seems to be taking a huge amount of stick

Lovren did not play against Palace so he has 1 clean sheet.

Hes a very good defender and player but he is capable of being far too casual at times.

Lovren like Mignolet ive just had enough, they are not worth the points/goals we lose because of their constant brain farts, they dont win us anywhere near enough matches or play important roles when we win to keep playing them and refusing to replace.

Klavan isn't a good enough first team i have no problem with him being a squad player hes good enough for that. Maybe its time to tell Gomez to go and make the CB position his.

I don't think Gomez is ready personally.

I think a fit season rotating at full back is just what he needs to get experience and feel like a footballer again.

He's not ready to be a mainstay at centre half, he barely has any experience there at all.

Lovren makes mistakes but he's an experienced player and I don't think dropping him would achieve anything for our defence.

What we need is to let him play his way back to form.

His detractors make out his useless every game but he just isn't. He's been pretty consistent under Klopp.

Clearly we need a new centre back but we haven't got one and I don't see Gomez as the answer at this stage.

Getting the midfield right is as important to us right now as which centre halves are playing in terms of conceding goals.

Gomez looks very good but he hasn't started many if any games as CB for us. We're stuck with Lovren and Klavan till Jan

Matip gets injured and its pretty much season over for us
