Now Thats What You Call a Proper Turnout

As a well-travelled supporter of a Club that itself, is well-known for taking large numbers of supporters to all parts of the UK and Europe, I have to pay tribute to the supporters of Cologne for the HUGE amounts of their supporters that rocked up in Central and North London yesterday. The sight of a large number of theirs blocking Oxford Street took me right back to the bad old days of the 70's and 80's and the carnage that ensued, when we turned up mob-handed and installed Martial Law in some little hick town out on the sticks.

I was also amused how apparently a lot of them bought Arsenal shirts to infiltrate the home parts of the ground just like the old days. West Ham and Arsenal fans themselves have been known to wear Chelsea shirts and scarves, when invading the Shed in the late Sixties and early Seventies so last night really was a throwback to days gone by. I feel there may well be repercussions for Arsenal as a Club if it transpires that a lot of their fans knocked out their tickets to match-hungry Germans. I was even offered tickets for the encounter myself at work by Arsenal contacts but declined, although if I had known it was going to be as exciting as that, I would have liked to have been there.

Anyway big-up mention to the Germans, Cologne and also Dortmund who have shown the passion that we as fans would all admire and salute.

The one question that I am left with is, were they doing their Christmas shopping early or getting in one last chance to visit one of the Great Capital Cities of the World before the restrictions of Brexit kick in?

Great days 69, of all the away days back then my least favourite was QPR. I used to love the turning up at places like Hereford, Oldham, Plymouth.

Forest and Wednesday were always particular favourites of mine.

QPR though was like a home game where we'd just rock up take virtually the whole ground over, may as well have been a home game!

Hi Kitty how you keeping? I hope you are well.

Wednesday used to be a great day out as well. Only ground I ever visited that issued you with padded cushions for your seats. People were chucking them all up in the air when we were there. Do Wednesday still do them?

All good here Chelsea

No cushions any more . . . . . . they made great missiles . . . with a soft landing.

Went to Hillsborough few times in 80s, our promotion and League cup battles.

We played an incredible 6 games in 10 days: Wigan in cup on Saturday, you on Monday, our replay 2 days later, Leicester on Saturday, Millwall in the cup on a Monday then you guys again on the Wednesday.

I went to all of them. How the eff did a 14 year old manage that? A lot of fare evasion !!!

We had them in the North Stand but it seems that they were also available in the West Stand (Leppings Lane) (away fans) going on what Chelsea since Summer 69 says.
