This 1-1 with Burnley wasn't a case of Liverpool failing to get in behind, nor was it a failure of quick passing and efforts on goal, no it was essentially wrong decisions and poor finishing.
Don't think it was lack of guile, no; we got in behind the left, we got in behind the right and we come through the centre. Tbf as well this Burnley side deserve some credit too, they are better than most believe and should get more respect, however...we definitely should have beat them today.
No point having a go at the defence, because u will being having a go EVERY single game!! They are not good enough everyone knows it, Dyche knew it and so does EVERY premiership manager, lob it in the box and u will probably score; 1 chance, 1 goal...for Burnley!
This season it wont change, not until next season when Keita and "hopefully" VVD comes in. Stay cool...its not as bad as u think, its 5 points off City and they have to come to Anfield, we are 2nd in the CL group table and we have Lallana and Clyne due back soon while Mane is only out for 2 more games
Double header Vs Leicester now both away to them, Tuesday and Saturday....who knows what will happen
Ohhh....and u couldnt make it up: N Keita has been shown a red card for EXACTLY the same offence as Mane

The one positive is we didn't struggle to break down a side that sat deep and condensed the space. Had we struggled to break them down again I would be much more down about our prospects.
However we broke them down time and again and just couldn't finish our chances, that's some progress at least, we are starting to wear down sides who sit deep, we managed it against palace too.

BTW, last season didnt City win the first 10 or something, it means little in terms of winning the prem, dont get cut adrift and then Jan onwards it really counts

Re-read.... denial I thinking it's a good thing given the very obvious challenges in the side. We are not good enough for the CL, it's that simple. No amount of misty-eyed sentimentality based on solely our history alters that fact.

There were some positives.
I like Coutinho central and he played well for an hour.
Matip was good again.
Another goal for Salah.
Sturridge looked fit and played quite well I thought.
Should have had a peno, hit the bar, level on points with Spurs who I imagine aren't pspping themselves.
