Nev's Monday Moan!

Well not that bad we are going to have the same issues as CR or any manager has of bedding in new players with the lose of DD we can't wait half a season for them to bed in thoughts.

A tale of two former favorites Walshy and of course the best manager we ever had CR. Everton arn't that bad need to bed in players proves recruitment isn't an end in its self.

My hero and all round nice guy hasn't found any snakes yet in France and is doing what he does best and motivation and tactical awarness something Shakey needs to get a grip of.

Can't here Radio Leicester match commentry becouse have to listen to the clubs crape version. But if my Socialist best buddy Foxy says Stringy was giving Slim a roasting thats not what my namesake Nev would do leave it to the pundit next to pal please.

Got to say in a bang average looking midfield King did not let himself or the club down need to see what Silva can deliver if we sign him this week does Rudkin get a reprieve ?

From my point of view this week we can kick start our season and a fancy a win against Liverpool on Saturday as well as the Caramel moose cup.

Have a good week

Hugs

Nev

On paper, we have a very good squad now when Iborra is fit and (hopefully Silva is available.

I hope very much that we quickly find a way of playing that suits the squad now. Because I think 4-4-1-1 only works with okazaki.

3-5-2 may genuinely become an option again to get Ian and Vardy in the same team. It seems wrong to waste either, but the difference when Ian came off and Okazaki came on on Saturday was like night and day.

Shakespeare has been good so far, but Saturday was the first time he warrants criticism for me. We were awful first half and it needed changing. He didn't and we carried on being awful.

We looked lightweight and outnumbered in midfield so he brought Gray on. A lightweight midfielder who can't defend. It got no better.

Then finally Okazaki came on and we looked like a team before he ruined it almost immediately by changing Vardy for Slim. No criticism of Slim by the way Nev - wrong sub at the wrong time and balls hoofed in to his chest aren't going to help him!

So I wasn't impressed with Shakespeare on Saturday, but hopefully he will learn and quickly finds a way of getting the new players in and working together.

If he can do this, I think we'll still have a good season. But due to the tough start, he doesn't have a great deal of time now as there will be pressure for results.

good points well made ferry boy next few weeks crucial before confidence starts to take a hit.

We were awful, due to not being able to keep the ball or create anything in midfield, which I think most fans will give Shakey the benefit of the doubt with the luck he's had with our 2 new midfield signings being unavailable.

His subs however still look indifferent, the Slimani one, baffling. The guy just does not suit out team, and I just don't think he's good enough for The Premier League, I mean that effort at the end, not an easy chance but his execution was pitiful.

Still should of won the game however bad we were, miss of the season by Vardy.

I heard Vardy had a tight groin and it was protection to take him off?

Another Top 6 side to face, that's six times in the last 9 games!

Liverpool cannot defend, so providing we can get some quality in midfield on the pitch we stand a chance at home. Would we prefer a win in the cup or the league?

League no doubt, second string in the Cup.

Cup please. League prospects are already looking unexciting at best and there will be easier matches to play.

Sorry to be doom and gloom, but dont think we are going anywhere under CS.Just dont look like scoring, and have little confidence in his tactics or substitutions.
Hope i am wrong, but dont think he will be here by end of October. Think he is and will be a great second in command, just dont think when going gets tough, he is up to it.

You're not the only one to think like that, thorney. I've felt somewhat on the fence about Shakespeare throughout his tenure so far, and perhaps the most concerning thing to me is that it always sounds like he's learning on the job - like every other match he's going to get out-thought by the opposition manager and come away thinking "Interesting. I never knew that before."

Ultimately, the only way for him to inspire confidence is to win matches. It was always going to be a tough start, although I accept the performance at Huddersfield was more of a concern. There could well be a little despondency around right now and he's going to need to deal with that and start getting some good results. Essentially, he's going to need a good October. The problem is that Ranieri needed a good October as well last year, then a good November, etc. and it never came.

I'm not at all convinced by Shakey and wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't last the season. He needs to be given time though and will hopefully come good. Not sensible to get rid now given the fixtures we've had to start.

We also may not have played well on Saturday but still managed to get a point.
