hmm you put a prime jimmy in our teams post roman's takeover...

No I still agree, but I am judging them on what they did do, not what they could have done.

Seen lots of reports saying around £55m plus add ons, the add ons don't appear to be clear. Great deal for a player his age who acts like a caaaaant and wasn't wanted by the club. Atleti are mugs for signing him for that much really. But he'll score goals for them I suppose.

As if you would have got 50m him.

He's refused to do anything for months, he's ruled out all options bar 1. Atletico had Chelsea over a barrel.

Half that and you will be closer to the real amount.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I know it is crazy money. 57m including 48m up front if true.

Marina is good at getting top dollar for players: Luiz Rambo Oscar etc

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't think they would have got near 50m, Ask yourself, why would Atletico pay that when he holds all the cards.

But even if it is 57m as you say, it doesn't matter as you will be under embargo for the next few windows anyway.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, you've been proven right about the Costa fee, so we will take your embargo update equally seriously

Best striker CFC have had in recent years, but turned out to be a big tw@t in the end.

Not just at the end either. He was such a drama queen - I'm delighted to be shot of him. No doubt he could be a great player when he put his mind to it - but he has so much baggage that he brings with him that after a while you just want him to shut up and go. Looks like we got an incredible fee for him - that's the best we could hope for.

If these figures and stories are true then happy days. It was just all about him in the end and I for one am happy that the saga appears to be finally over.

Cheers Diego

Shame about this summer but loved his fight and knack of scoring the important goals we needed in the title races he was invovled in

Yeah Blarms I agree mate, it's a shame that for all the valid points you made there, he always never seemed fully engaged. It always seemed as if he never wanted to be there at all and was just in it for the wonga.

The rumored fee is sublime, amazing work by our negotiating team. Basically swapped him for a younger, just as prolific striker who the manager likes better + fits the system better for a loss of around 10mil. Superb.

The inflated fee from Atletico suggests Griezmann won't be staying much longer. Big outlay for a club who operate within strict budgets
