Uber banned in London

I notice TFL are behaving like luddites and the Labour Mayor of London has taken the side of the GMB Union against the interests of the 3.5 million Londoners who use Uber.

A trade union which he and the Labour Party of course takes money from, naturally:

https://order-order.com/2017/09/22/khan-chooses-union-backers-3-5-million-londoners/

It is incredible that in 21st century Britain, trade unions can still purchase policies which are so blatantly against the interests of millions of ordinary consumers. A real reminder of the 70s were like and how difficult it was eventually beat this bankrupt ideology. Well unfortunately with Corbyn and everything, and Labour controlling London, it's making a big comeback.

Three and a half million people stopped from using a commercial service because the Labour Party and its union paymasters insist on romanticising black cabs, which are the biggest rip off in the word.

40,000 drivers who work for uber are now completely out of pocket too. Honestly, that is ridiculous. TFL apparently told Uber about the decision one minute before they tweeted it on social media. Public sector workers destroying private sector workers jobs, and letting them know through a tweet.

The ban won't just be for London, it's everywhere in the south east essentially, mostly because most of the Ubers in places like Kent or Surrey are drivers who started their trips in London.

And don't even start on the alleged safety stuff, this is about protectionism pure and simple. A disproportionate number of the people involved in the infamous Rochdale case were cab drivers. No one says don't use taxis because *some* taxi drivers are criminals.

Consider this though, this is just one single Labour Mayor and Labour controlled TFL...

If Corbyn gets in, this 70s style anti-competition nonsense becomes the norm, and you will end up paying for it. Just like you will now by having to use rip off black cabs now, assuming you can even afford it. Something for the kids at Glastonbury worshipping Jezza to think about.

Big moment in politics this. A genuine Corbyn-esque policy has been instituted in London. Let's see how popular it is...

To those wondering why I'm connecting Corbyn himself, he or the Labour leadership will have endorsed the decision within he next hour of me posting this article.

Uber cabs start off cheap, but when they get busy they jack the fares up,it's a Ponzi company and the bubble will burst in the not too distant future, pay no tax employ the unemployable, never report drivers of sexual assault, were given an extra four months on their previous licence to sort thing out, they couldn't,so they lost their application for a further five year licence,we don't need them, the vacuum will be filled by other companies who play by the rules.

I've spent to many nights outside pubs and clubs waiting for oz cab 4 to turn up when the e t a is 10 mins and half hour later he still ain't turned up.

Mind you it's always good wind up with a mini cab driver if they're Indian or Pakistani to tell them that either kapil Dev or imran Khan was the better all rounder depending where they're from

Have never got a taxi or uber. I remember one night I was on a night out 9 miles from home and just walked through the night to get home, via stealing a boat and passing out in a forest for a bit.

When I was 14 and working as a dishwasher in a restaurant, one day my parents were away one evening I had to work, so couldn't get a lift. Had to carry an inflatable dinghy 2 miles to get to a river. Then had to sale down the river for 4 miles but then it sank, so had to swim ashore and run the last few miles to get to work on time. Got sent home because my uniform was wet. UNGRATEFUL. Need to look your best when a dishwasher you see.
