Does anyone think Gomez will take Lovrens place at CB I think it would be for the best..
Also I am hoping with Coutinho and Mane back our midfield will take a better shape and the other two will at least concentrate on protecting our back four better now we have additional quality going forward..

Clyne has trained well and so has Lallana in the last few days. Clyne is not amazing but he was consistent and we need that.
We also miss Lallana's energy in midfiled right now especially in away games when Wiji goes missing

Doubt it.
Even if that was the long term plan, would you (as a manager) put a 20 year old with 9 games for us under his belt in at CB when the media and fan scrutiny of the defence is again at savage levels?!
I really like Gomez and I'd like to see him play at CB this season but there's no way in hell I'd put him there now.

I would. i really like gomez too but i think there would be less pressure on him than lovren. he has the excuse that he's only twenty.

I don't see it happening this season.
Gomez will likely play centre half in the FA Cup, and if we had injuries.
He just needs a season of fit football, and playing full back is a less pressurised environment for him to learn.
