Words fail me yet again on the Essex bowling attack in this season's CC.
It seems not to matter if we put in (what on paper) appears to be a poor batting performance, because our bowlers always destroy the opponents batting.
Sadly the conclusion has to be that sooner or later Chris Silverwood will be leaving Essex for a higher paid role elsewhere, but let's enjoy him while we can, he has done so well since he took over from Grayson.

Porter and Harmer have been absolutely outstanding this season with good supporting roles from Wagner, Amir and Sam Cook. Bopara and Ten Doeschate who bowled quite a lot last season have barely bowled this year, although that's mainly due to the fact that they didn't have a spinner so Harmer has been a fantastic signing.
