2017 World Grand Prix

Michael van Gerwen is OUT, losing 2-1 to John Henderson in the first round of this double in double out competition.
Gary Anderson is also out, withdrawing due to the impending birth of his second child.
Phil Taylor didn't enter and Adrian Lewis also lost his first round game to Daryl Gurney
James Wade was another first round loser, leaving Robert Thornton as the only previous winner still in. Thornton beat Chizzy in round two.

Quarters saw Big John Henderson beat another giant, Barney. Gurney won a last leg decider to knock out Thornton. Suljovic beat Wright to cement his position as favourite. Whitlock eased past van de Pas.
