When we get a mauling and a gloom and doom feeling we often redeem ourselves in the next game as a consequence of some hard work, some stern words and a bit of a reshuffle. Will that prove to be the case in this one?
I have just heard that Wolves have had a player sent off early doors tonight so the 10 men will have a night of hard work ahead of them and one less day to recover.

We are becoming victims of our own success, the last 10 years have been a wonderful journey for the club and fans, so what's different now and have we now pushed as far as we can go.
The biggest problem is goals, as we can't seem to be clinical enough, when it matters, yes we do get in the box in most games, but the lack of killer instinct in front of goal is the problem. Goals will always put the other team on the back foot and change games.
The Villa game said it all, when they are 2-0 up and they bring on a 11 million pound striker.
Villa also used every trick in the book to waste time to kill the game off.
Burton need to wise up and think how we got where we are. We frustrated the hell out of most teams in League 2 & League 1, with our style of football. Not great on the eye at times, but effective.
Lovely as it is, the way we are trying to have a go at playing most of these Championship clubs, it's not getting points.
It pains me to say it, but ugly football is what we need to do to grind out results.
Rant over !

I agree with all that's been said above. It's going to be a very tough league this season and added to that we no longer have the element of surprise for those teams that hadn't faced us before. The loss of Boyle was a bitter blow and we desperately need someone who isn't afraid to take a chance and have a go at putting it in the back of the net. I truly hope my prediction is wrong, but am going for:
Albion 0 Wolves 3

I have to agree with emnez about buxton and warnock I would add brayford to that they are all nigels old mates who he likes around him but not now good enough for the championship ,like to see flanagan on left and naylor on the right.best I can do is 1-1

Oh it was tough to watch on Tuesday. Was that really John Terry controlling Villa's back four?
And those comments about last season's Wigan back line (2nd only to Rotherham in goals conceded) have crossed my mind.
But keep the faith. Nigel has got it right more often than not. And we did get through last season on digging deep after a setback.
A grim afternoon in prospect but 1-0 to the Brewers at the end of the afternoon

I hope that we can bounce back but the best result I can see is a 1.1. draw. I will go for that.

Otep, I've already made my prediction for this game but I'd like to get ahead (as I might find it difficult to find the time before the next game and I don't want to lose points!):-
Bristol City 2 - 1 Brewers

I am going to predict a 2-2 draw.
