Evening Brummie, how you doing? sorry I didn't reply to you last night, I crashed out early. Old age is catching me up now.
I myself liked Tom Petty back in the day, very underrated.

Evening Sandy, doing ok working in Norway for a few weeks!
I heard a fact on talksport that might interest you.
With your 4th away win in a row at the weekend, in your 1st 4 away games, you matched a run that you haven't equalled since - 1961!!
Now there's an omen for you!

Brummie, I remember the eight away wins of 1961 like it was yesterday, the 9th game they lost 2-1 at Sheffield Wednesday.
I expect the run of away wins to come to a halt next game at United, point at most.
What you doing in Norway? I thought you had packed up the Merchant, or is it some other job you are now doing?

It was the Royal I was in, my career finally came to an end after nearly 31 years, a year ago last april.
I really miss it but unfortunately it's a job you can't go on forever in.
I'm currently a field service and commissioning engineer for a company that produces and installs Electrical Induction Furnaces for the metal melting industry.
At the moment I'm working in a town called Hamar, about 1.5 hrs drive north of Oslo, commissioning a control unit for two furnaces that melt silver!

I had a mate who was an engineer in the Merchant for 30 years, he left the Merchant to spend more time at home with his family, and ended up joining a company that incinerated dirty mags.
Yes, bet you miss all the travel and the variety you get from the Navy. I myself packed in work in 2010, after 46 years, I had had enough. Life of leisure now, you cannot beat it.
Anyway catch you later mate, time for cocoa.
