Gossip: Teqball challenge and La Liga star linked

Happy Monday one and all and welcome to your daily dose of Media Watch, today travelling as far as Sao Paulo and Kolkata as we track our global Blues.

There's also a splash of Barcelona-related transfer gossip thrown in for good measure...

First to South America, where City's goalkeepers will go head to head as Brazil take on Chile in the World Cup qualifiers.

Tite, whose side have already qualified, has said Ederson will make his debut for the Selecao against Claudio Bravo's Chile side, who are battling hard for a spot in Russia next year.

City striker Gabriel Jesus has warned there will be no let up from Brazil though, commenting ahead of the game: "We played three World Cup qualifiers since we secured our spot and the behaviour of the team is the same. We will play to win."

Meanwhile, take a look here to see who came out on top in a game of Teqball between Jesus and Dani Alves vs Neymar and Philippe Coutinho.

Headlong into the rumourmill now with the Daily Mirror who, via the Spanish press, link City with Barcelona's Sergi Roberto.

"That is according to Don Balon, who say the Blues are ready to fork out the €40million required to take prise midfielder Roberto away from the Nou Camp.

"The 25-year-old came through the youth ranks at La Masia, making his senior debut in 2010.

"Roberto has proved his worth with his versatility, featuring both in midfield and at left-back and right-back with regularity during his time in Catalonia."

Finally to India and the U17 World Cup, where City starlet Phil Foden has caught the eye of Glenn Hoddle.

The Daily Mail's Matthew Smith reports: "England crushed Chile 4-0 in their U17 World Cup opener, with midfielder Phil Foden particularly impressing.

"The Manchester City playmaker controlled midfield as England strode to victory in India, Jadon Sancho scoring twice with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Angel Gomes also netting.

"However former England manager Glenn Hoddle picked out 17-year-old Foden for particular praise.

"The Sportsmail columnist wrote on Twitter: 'Just watched the under 17s beat Chile, very impressive set of players. Foden looked more South American than they did! Great start.'"

That's all for today folks, we'll be back tomorrow with the latest media musings...

How do you continue to lie and not back it up look a total pillock after being banned for racism and wishing cancer on someone and not see how pathetic you look.

Honestly I actually sort of pity you a bit, not a lot but just a bit.
