Since coming to England from Espanyol, Mauricio Pochettino has helped 15 players to represent England at full international level.
7 players at Southampton and 8 at Spurs which is an incredible record in this day and age.
Whilst not all went on to sustain their places in the team, many have done so on the back of Poch’s management and training.
Whereas most foreign managers are happy to pack their teams with continental players because they prefer it that way, Pochettino loves to utilise home grown talent where possible.
He is leaving his own mark and legacy on English football in the most positive manner possible.
Hopefully we can win some trophies in the very near future, and if we don’t he will still go down as a top manager in my book.
His work ethos is superb, he treats ALL the staff as equals and ensures that everyone from the players through to the ground staff, catering staff, administration staff etc feel part of the same team.
More than just a coincidence?

He's the one to blame then!
In all seriousness I quite like the Poch.

Seems like the smart choice to take over from Southgate after we inevitably flop at the World Cup.
It's likely that Southgate will stay in charge until Qatar at the very least though unless we fail to make any of the major tournaments due to his non controversial and gentlemanly ways.

There is a lot of coincidence concerning the players at Southampton.
But it is obvious Pochettino is a good coach, and his style is something Southgate wants to mirror at England. Thus it makes sense to utilise players Poch has coached - even if they have only made 3 or 4 PL starts!

Poch for England manager.

List is stretching it a bit.
Townsend:
Debut - October 2013. Poch was in charge of Southampton while AVB was with us.
Ward-Prowse:
Debut - March 2017. 33 months after Poch left Southampton.
Would be more credible if it included people he bought, inherited or played a significant part in their development and progress.

FA would never approve.
And Pochettino will manage Argentina one day, anyways.
