Players' thoughts are a factor in deciding

Players' thoughts are a factor in deciding formation, says Shakespeare

No poo Sherlock! are we surprised that Shakey says that. Can you image MoN, Pearson, and CR. Before TB leaps all over this.
No manager will not consider what the players are capable of but not what their opinion is.

So Mersey you say you have not seen anything that the players know he is the boss, how about the fact they don't call him boss.

He dropped a star player so what he new he really choice if he wanted to have any credibility left.

I want him to get it right and he can't really be judged until he gets a full squad together but will he get the chance.

Going back to my original point managing change is not easy CR failed last year and i fear CS will fail to

This is worth debating. How much time should Shakespeare get? If we're still struggling after the next 5 games, I think we can start to discuss what the reasons are and what we need to fix them. Shakespeare may form part of that discussion.

What I would credit Shakespeare with, is he's trying to evolve the team rather than completely change it like CR did. Evolution not revolution.

The problem currently is that the midfield is non existent for many a reason discussed and Ian is yet to live up to the billing.

I hope as both these issues are fixed we improve. My worry is that we have a huge hole in centre mis through no fault of Shakespeare's. And that may define him as a manager, even if it shouldn't.

Pressure game on Monday. We don't tend to perform well in those (except during our title winning season 😁).

TB - I think it's a bit unfair describing Nev's articles as claptrap - everyone is entitled to voice their opinion on the club they love.
Just who are the "haters"??
I for one sincerely hope Shakey can turn this around but next Monday's game could see City in the bottom 3 and his mettle will then be really tested. Nonetheless I'll still be supporting the team wherever they sit in the table.

I agree Gally. Nev's view is as valid as anyone's and he raises some interesting points and often plays the role of devil's advocate. No need for childish name calling.

I disagree, Nev doesn’t give an opinion, just half truths, insinuations and to be honest outright lies.

When challenged, it’s usually, ‘joking’ ‘ on social media or other forums’ or occasionally ‘Devils Advocate’.

It’s never offering an opinion, Neva not even honest enough he wants Shakey to go, That’s obvious by thread he creates, there is only one theme and that’s to try and undermine him as Manager.

You don’t like them that’s tough because that is my opinion and I’ll continue to call out his claptrap and correct his lies.

You are funny Total Boolooks you believe what you imo
When Shakey took over the job i was livid i believe that him and the players knifed CR and got him out imo
Then fact is i have given him a chance this season and still do,but imo the players run this club and imo you calling me lier is laughable give your BS and blind support for mr Angry and his mates.

Great to see our Nige on Sky Sports being asked his view on support for Managers.

Nev

I'll say one thing your threads are never boring and always prpmpt plebty of response and debate, which i'm sure is your intention ( even if your threads just regurgitate the same thing over and over again )

So Claudio going was nothing to do with us being in the relegation zone at the end of Feb, it was all to do with those evil players plotting against him. At least we gave CR till Feb, Chelsea sacked maureen before Christmas the season before ( us beating them was the last straw)

and be aware if Shakey/Shakes/ The Boss/Gaffer/CS does go, NP part 3 could be the next step. Bet you'd enjoy that.

and if you insit that players should call Shakey ' the Boss'
should ne appear on Susan Calmans quiz show
