Wolves have defender Conor Coady available again after suspension for the local derby at home to Aston Villa.

Coady missed Wolves' 4-0 win at Burton prior to the international break, after being sent off at former club Sheffield United in the previous game.

Seventh-placed Villa are without Andre Green (hamstring) and Jack Grealish (damaged kidney) for the meeting with second-placed Wolves at Molineux.

Late checks will be made on Mile Jedinak (groin) and Keinan Davis (hip).

Henri Lansbury (knee) could also be available to Villa boss Steve Bruce, who marks the end of his first year in charge.

But Wales international Neil Taylor remains banned, Villa having failed in their appeal against his red card in the 1-0 win over Bolton - their last game before the international break.

Match facts

Steve Bruce's first game in charge of Villa was against Wolves a year ago - a 1-1 draw in a game of two penalties when Helder Costa cancelled out Jonathan Kodja's 15th-minute strike.
Wolves then won the return at Molineux in January, when Joe Mason got the only goal, once again in the 15th minute. It was their first home win against Villa since May 1978.
This is the 107th league meeting between Wolves and Aston Villa but only the third time the two old rivals, both of them Football League founder members in 1888, have met in the second tier.
Leo Bonatini, who has four goals and four assists to his name this season, is the only Championship player this season to have both scored and assisted four or more.
Steve Bruce, who was very close to getting the Wolves job in 2012, has taken just one point from his most recent five league visits. His last victory at Molineux was in April 2007, when his Birmingham City side won 3-2.
Analysis

With a sell-out crowd expected and both sides in excellent form, Molineux should come alive under the floodlights on derby day.

Wolves' feared four front players - Helder Costa, Leo Bonatini, Diogo Jota and Ivan Cavaleiro - are battling for three starting places and whoever misses out can justifiably feel unlucky not to start. Whoever it is will be a wonderful asset to have sitting on the bench, waiting to run at tired legs in the second half.

In defence, Conor Coady was excelling in a sweeper role before his suspension. Ryan Bennett seamlessly slotted into the back three for the 4-0 win at Burton and would be another to feel hard done by if he is not in the starting XI.

Villa's recent run of wins will be a slight concern for Wolves, whose two league losses came against sides bang in form, but they have also shown they can handle the big occasion. It should be a belter.

BBC WM's Aston Villa reporter Mark Regan

It's a game that captures the imagination, there's no doubt about that. Villa are sitting top of the Championship form table, having won their last four games. All of those were with an unchanged side, although that will have to change on Saturday thanks to the suspension of left-back Neil Taylor.

As well as a settled side, Villa boss Steve Bruce has found a formation that has got the best out of players like Robert Snodgrass and Albert Adomah, who has scored four in the past five games. So I can't see Bruce making a switch in terms of moving away from the 4-4-2 that's served him so well in recent weeks. If Taylor was available, I'm pretty sure he would have put out the same XI that beat Bolton.

The managers will have very different approaches and it'll be interesting to see which is the more effective. A win for Villa may win over some more of the fans that a few weeks ago were calling for Bruce's sacking. More importantly, the three points would move Villa to just one behind Wolves.

Assumed they played the same formation as the first team so yeah it makes little sense.

The U23s have played 442 all season I think. The formation shouldn't be fixed in my mind, should be whatever best suits the players in the team. Shoe horning players into a pre determined formation is what leads to accusations of square pegs in round holes.

Although the first team have generally played 343 that changes to 451 when the opponents are on top in away games. N'Diaye plays the central midfield role different to Saiss and Neves, Vinagre plays the left wing back role differently to Douglas, and the front three set up differently when Bonatini is playing to when he isn't. The objective is to get the best out of the players, not to play in a rigid regime regardless of who is on the field

I get what you are saying but isn't it down to coaching and molding players as well?

If we have a handful of injuries then how would players that haven't played a specific position in our standard formation adjust?

See Ming Yang Yang played for the U23s. Wonder if he will be the first of many Chinese given a chance

They wouldn't be able to. It would be like asking Roger Johnson to mark zonally or an orangutan to plumb your washing machine in.

Both would just grunt with an inane expression on their face and probably try to mount you.

Think Yang was an unused sub DJ and it looks like Nuno has had a change of heart, as several of the first team squad were on display for the U23's.
