I know people will say it’s knee jerk but win lose or draw I would have wrote this article because it’s unbelievable how poor we have become.
From first minute to last this had the feel of a mid table clash and it’s not hard to see why when the teams were announced.
People are trying to kid themselves into thinking we don’t need Ozil and Alexis, well tonight was a glimpse of the future without them. We are so painfully average it is scary. How this once great team has been reduced from the likes of Vieira, Petit, Gilberto, Fabregas and Santi Cazorla to the likes of Xhaka, Elneny and Ramsey.
Just take a second to let it sink in. Xhaka, Ramsey and Elneny are regular starters for Arsenal. Not squad players, REGULAR starters. Iwobi and Welbeck, these guys would struggle to get in the Watford team. Lacazette, poor guy gets no service but let’s be honest Giroud would get pelters for performing like that.
I honestly don’t care that we even lost. It really doesn’t affect me anymore, my mates don’t even take the piiisss out of me anymore because I’m not worth laughing at. It’s just unbelievable how much joy Wenger has sucked out of being an Arsenal fan. To the extent I don’t even watch all our matches anymore.
What is going to happen to us? I mean we can surely only get worse. Our match winners are leaving, our key players like Cazorla and Koscielny are crocks. Our experienced heads, the likes of Per, Cech even Theo have all seen better days. And on top of that we play garbage football and no longer have the lure of Champions League football. Where will we be when Wenger finally decides to leave (or dies)?

GT I can kinda agree that we as fans should have a bit more respect for the work of a manager and not be so vocal from the safety of our armchairs. But in Wenger's case, we see THE SAME FAILURES from him every year. You don't need to have worked in the game to know where it's going wrong. I may not have the answers for how to deliver big trophies to Arsenal, but from 10+ years of repetitive failure I can sure as hell tell you how NOT to set-up the team.
FFS we had a professional player of an opposition team on national TV yesterday spilling dressing room secrets on how to beat Arsenal. Which some people will ignore as a fluke based on some dodgy ref decisions, even though that same team (who by the way, have vastly inferior resources to us) have used the same formula to beat us quite embarrassingly quite regularly in the last few years. So it's an open secret that everyone knows Wenger's weaknesses and how to outwit him. You do not have to be a professional manager to see that.

Honestly renoog I can see Wenger's failure against Watford in particular. Yes, we can argue over the line-up but first half it worked well in our favour despite me seeing myself that we had some issues on the Bellerin side.
Up to the pen we controlled the game. We can argue about what happened after (selfinflicted mental issues) again yes but players and special circumstancies (injuries Welbeck/Kos) caused our loss.
Add the game at Stoke to what has happened to the game against Watford makes it 6 points we lost because refs influenced the outcome massively.
Dont forget that the second Watford goal was offside.

We didnt lose the game bc we hadnt the right line up. I wasnt happy with our line up as well but to moan about it ahead of the game is not on.

I think this about sums a lot of us up at the moment. I can't remember the last time I was genuinely shocked that we lost. Our football lacks any kind of cohesion and has only very rare moments of excitement.
