This is the view I think certainly does not show it as being off or onside. The angle is not in line and shows the Watford player first which would of course make itook more likely offside. I'd say there is a good chance the defenders shoulder is in line with the foot.

definitely not "100%" offside.

Watfords player foot is at least one foot in front of Mert. It's not in line but they are close and the perspective is such that there is not any valid way that his foot is not offside. I can draw you the perspective lines if you don't understand it.

Stop being so defensive. I am not saying it's onside, nor am I saying it's offside. The angle and camera show that you have shown or any that I have seen have not proven it either way. You seem to think it's clear but in all fairness I think deep down you know its not.

I fully understand the offside rule, hence why I'm not making a judgement call based on emotion and bias from a 30° camera shot. if it makes you sleep better tonight then let's just say it was miles offside and the camera shot is conclusive.

It was not miles offside. Just by a foot. If you still have a hard time seeing it would be clear that you tried really hard not to see it

Just to be clear, the ref didn't fack you over. It's as close a call as it gets.

At that stage in the game a proper Arsenal side would've had Watford pinned back instead of at the gates.

Nonsense the penalty was not a close call at all. It was a clear dive and he should be looking at a 2 game ban. Not that it helps us.

Dive and offside goal. Imagine this happening to mourinho pep or Pochetinno. They would have completely lost it in the post match conference and the book would have been thrown at the opposition players. However because its arsenal the narrative changes to we deserved to lose even though we had far more shots and completely dominated the first half to an embarrassing extent. As usual what compounds the issue is our own idiot fans buying into the rhetoric 100%.
Let's see what happens to their diver with this retrospective action. I'm not holding my breath though
