I Knew This Would Happen

So how much longer before many of you accept what is stood slapping you in the face every time he plays? It's a plain as the nose on your face and the results as they stand.

Points dropped early with weak form.

Ozil gets injured and can't play.

Immediately form improves and the team begins to start gathering something close to momentum.

Ozil becomes available and gets back in the side

We instant go backwards, reverting to the poor play pre Ozil injury.

Either we have to buy the players he needs behind him or we need to ship him out. Either way we need him OUT of the side until Jan. I couldn't care less which either. I just know we can't keep playing him as we are. 3 or 4 more games of this and we can forget about being anywhere of significance in the league this outing and expect a tonking off most if not all the top 4.

Just have to take it in your stride until big things change at the club. We all know the problems.

I have started to skip games now which i have never done in the past. Had a feeling Watford would beat us and didnt watch the game.

We rarely play attractive football anymore, our mentality is weak and a reflection of our manager and I hope he looks over his shoulder as he can go manage the USA national side if his still got something to prove in football thats the level he should be at now.

I dont agree with your take on it. I didnt see the game yesterday but from what I have heard Watford made some changes and started pressurising us more. That is the problem and has been since Santi dropped out. If you have a look at the teams we have played, Leicester took the game to us but have a rubbish defence so we managed a win despite conceding 3 goals, Stoke are a physical team and easily coped with us and Liverpool steamrollered us. All teams that took it took us and we couldnt cope.

Then look at the teams we didnt lose to - Bournemouth, Chelsea, WBA and Brighton. None of them tried to beat us physically and they tried to play football, which we can cope with.

From what I have been told about yesterday, Watford tried to play football and then made changes including Deeney and brought the game to us physically. We couldnt cope and it was all them for that reason, not just because we brought on Ozil. Deeney said in his interview that when he came on he checked out our CB's to see who was up for a bit fo physical stuff and none of them were, from his first challenge with Mert.

Xhaka is the biggest culprit in our losing, not Ozil. Xhaka stood and watched Watford score their second without trying to get to the ball. He has done that on at least 6 of the goals (that I have seen, could be more) we have conceded this season and could have stopped a few just by trying to get to the ball, which would have blocked the goalscorers free run to the ball.

It's 2017

Putting aside their defeat to Man City who appear to be on a different level this season, Watford are going to be a tough team to face. After the start they've made, can quite easily see them finishing in the top half at least, maybe even Everton's spot in 7th?

Liverpool dropped points there as well, looks like it will be a tough place to go.

I wonder hoe arsenal fans feel after hearing what troy deeney had to say.

martin keown is already feeling embarassed.

until there are big changes like wenger and kroenke leaving - arsenal will keep going in this cycle.

hopefully fans will respect alexis for leaving this club and not signing a new contract.
