The team looked well nervy yesterday, I can't remember us testing their keeer apart from the penalty and even that was poorly taken, no idea what grot brings, did rock all when he came on didn't even look interested, thought o kane was poor 1st half but played really well second half, we only looked like doing owt when sacko came on, their goal again ran through our midfield easy peasy, I think that they need to let the nerves go & play football

Play Anita in the holding roll, I'd stick berardi in with Anita to add some steel to the midfield, I'd put roofe infor henandez

I agree about Anita
But come on Baradi in midfield, it’s madness
And please don’t say bamba
You can tag him Friday night in there

Would be great if we had someone like Berra in the middle. We wouldn't get cut open so easily.
I always harp on about it but when u have a midfield with no athleticism it's a wrap for you.
Anita is small but he has more pedigree than Okeane and Phillips I'd like to see:
Anita. Veira.
Alioski. Saiz. Dallas.
Grot.
Ppl are doing the usual and slating Grot after a few sub appearances when we were losing and had 15mins left to play.
Dalls plays ok there but has anyone actually wondered"do we have a natural left winger?"...
No left winger...no left back...Orta needs to have someone tell him this simple problem.

When he joined, he said from day 1 that we set up to suit who were playing against. The formation depends on who we are facing. That's not been the case at all. It's been the reverse, teams are playing and setting up to make it easy against us.

Using yesterday as an example, saiz when he had 3 on him, he didn't have a pass on so had to make spa ce for himself, if he had someone close by he could o the ball off to then we could open the game up and they'd be in trouble, if we want to play the passing game, you have to have an outlay, but you also need one or two runners from midfield, the whole idea about the passing game imo is to make the pitch as big as possible & tire the opposition

Harj exactly. Players in such a system need outlets and decoys. Thing is these players are capable of getting around quickly and consistently.

JUST PLAY ****ING VIEIRA....should be building the team around him

I know I'll probably get slated for this, but we've become a lot more defensively fragile since we let go of Bridcutt.
Now I agree that he was a negative influence on attacking play, but he was always there to break-up attacks from the opposition and get possession back for us.
We need a Bridcutt-style DM, but with a bit of attacking flair to send the ball upfield rather than back to the defence.

Bridcutt isn’t and never was good enough
But he’s probably better than okane and phillips

Re watched the Barrow goal several times and although There appears to be a foul Phillips gets left in no man's land - does he think it is last season, he's regressed so alarmingly?
