Celtic 1-0 Dundee

Well it doesn't seem as if it's in a great rush to be discussed today

I think the general overview of the game was - meh.

Standout players were de Vries and Roberts. Thought Gamboa did well too considering he's been out of the team for a while.

Not our best performance by any stretch but we worked out the 1-0 from a game we largely dominated. Dundee pressed in the second half and forced de Vries to make two outstanding saves.

Right call by the manager to rest the key midfielders ahead of Munich on Wednesday.

DDV - 8 - As mentioned above about the saves, his distribution left a lot to be desired but other than that he was solid

Gamboa - 7 - Did well I think, without overly impressing. Would like to see him used more when Lustig is rested. Took a sore one with the clash of heads.

Bitton - 7 - Did what he needed to do - few solid blocks.

Boyata - 7 - Only time he was at fault all day was the deflection off of Bitton which ran past him to the Dundee striker, DDV bailing him out.

KT - 6 - Not as effective as he usually is going forward. Set his own high standards with the normal performances he gives.

Roberts - 8 - By far our main attacking threat of the day, Dundee fouled him numerous times and it seemed like the only way they were stopping him. So unlucky not to score at the end of that excellent run

Eboue - 6 - Few heavy tackles, but that's his style of play. Him and the 2 other central midfielders gave the ball away an awful lot but he did show good effort in winning it back

Ntcham - 6 - Goal aside, not a great performance. Bit like he had in Belgium. Lovely finish with the goal. Still looks like there's a player in there but just needs to show the composure he did in his first couple of games.

McGregor - 6 - Very quiet game, and as mentioned a few sloppy passes. Always looks to get involved in the attacking moves though.

Sinclair - 6 - Forgot he was on at one point still not hit the heights of last season yet, however still scored a good few goals so always a threat to have on the park.

Griff - 6 - Weak finish with the best chance of the game for us, almost as if he just expected it to in the net with such a tame shot.
