fickle fans

right my two penneth !

with 50 yrs of supporting leicester i have seen more gross football than mot on here,

CS was appointed after the mess we found ourselves in last season,
did what was asked kept us up,whilst unknown to us fans, with 3 players who should not have been on the pitch because they were not fit and playing with pain killing injections,
morgan, drinkwater +1 who all got rested after we had the points we needed.

what we all said in the summer is we needed a good transfer window
to cover the missed opportunities of the last two windows.
we missed the chance to get any better players of a higher standard but should be able to bring in 3 good players to challenge for places midfield, right back and a winger and maybe 1 or 2 quality players to be able to push on to become a top 6/8 place team on the fringe of european football

and once again the club and the transfer team completely mucked up the transfers coming in

sold drinkwater and lawrence
and we ended up with midfield of reasonable holding except say against the top 6 teams

nadidi who good but still learning
james who is now injured

king who is no good in a 2
amarty who?
ibora still getting up to speed

wingers of
albrighton

mahrez i might play today
grey attitude and lets frustration get to him (think he trys to hard to be a mahrez)

and lump this in with players not suited to our system
slimani

players who are ??
musa uella

ect ect im sure ive missed some one

and yet this mess is shakespeare's fault

without a fully fit squad or at least some covering players i don't see how he take the blame
the major problem is the midfield or lack of midfielders

and its going to get a lot worse before it gets any better
nadidi now reported carrying a knock that leaves us
amarty and king
and then we are praying for a good jan window and silva hitting the floor running
i see 15/17 points by christmas
and needing 1.7 ave in the new year for 45 points
10 wins ?

it's going to get bumpy
but hay, lets just blame shakespeare sack him and get someone in to save us, just for this season,

FFS you couldn't make it up !

Like Thorney, another 50 years of support but I share his misgivings about Shakey.

He knows one style of football - a counter-attacking 4-4-2. However, unlike Ranieri, he doesn't seem to understand the necessary tweaks required to shut up shop.

Despite our tough start, Watford's win against Arsenal, Palace's against Chelsea and Burnley's draw against Liverpool just suggested that sharper tactical awareness could win points. But more worrying have been our performances against Bournemouth and Huddersfield, where in my honest opinion, we looked like an average Championship side.

That said, we should give him the benefit of the doubt to see what he can do tonight, against Swansea and then an Everton team in crisis. We need two wins from somewhere.

For my money, we missed a trick not going for Marco Silva.

Dung its the in me as soon as someone rolls out the true fans garbage it gets my hackles up Yet again this season i am paying for two season tickets in the Weller lounge my son goes most games but knowing i will only get a couple of games this season this is my support for my club and my fathers before him. Home at Watford with 13,000 poor B'stwards and if where kicked out of the leagues i would still be there.

Do not mistake opinions to loyalty UTF Leicester till i die

Are you ever thinking of moving back to the UK or are you out there with the camel forever-ish now?

I'm going to sit on the fence between Dunge and Dublin.

I think both Shakespeare and our transfer window need to be scrutinised.

Firstly, I agreed and still agree with the Shakespeare appointment. I like the way he talks about evolution, and we've read some very articulate posts about what has happened to Palace who tried revolution (Dunge - Townsend had a good game at the weekend).

I think that the signings were generally good over the summer, and they clearly looked like our business was about building on our current successful approach, and creating competition and quality.

There are a couple of issues:

1. Whether you think our window was good or not, that fact that Andy King is now a first choice midfielder tell you that we got it wrong. Shakespeare has had his pants taken down by not having a single premier league standard creative midfielder. I'm sorry, but if you're blaming him for our lack of midfield or think it isn't affecting our performances or ability to take the game to the opposition, then I'll politely disagree. The transfer window was a shambles if you review what it has done to our midfield.

2. Tactics. Despite the above I also agree that Shakespeare has not got the players at his disposal playing with cohesion. We look clueless going forward and we're not pressing as a team. This has to be down to the manager who is working on formations and approach to games. Also, his in game management is the biggest question mark for me. When it's not working I've never felt like he's resolved it mid game.

So I think there is work to do,l for Shakespeare, part of it his own doing, part of it a shambolic transfer window (see point 1).

Let's hope Shakey can get us going enough until Silva is available. Until then, we get behind him and the team - because we need points. Badly.

Hey Dung i am now working for a Leicester Company out here so it possible, But tonight at 11.00pm i will be tuned to LCFC radio.

Another one nearly at 50 years watching LCFC
dublin, so I can recall some pretty grim times usually associated with the manager at the time

Frabk Mclintock ( after good manager hounded out)
Bryan Hamilton Ditto
Pleat Out
Peter Failure
Olly (though a perennaily struggling championship side)
Paulo Sousa ( the Thais soon sorted that out)

Just saying those who are crying for Shakeys head be wary of what you might get.

Lets hope for 3 points tonight, that might help.

Great Post Dublin!

I almost totally agree with you but it's too early to write off this past Transfer Window due to circumstances.

Ian came unfit and then got injured.
Iborra Got injured early on.
Drinky was injured before leaving,

One of the worst fixture lists at the start of a season you could imagine for a club of our size, yes results were disappointing but the Play generally was good apart from a couple of first halves.

Sometimes the words of that Great Man are really fitting, 'Delusions of Grandeur' completely fits some of our fans.

We where deluded the great man was wrong we won them Premier league something he could never do and given the millions the owners have put in and we have ern't We should be building on that not spending every season apart from that fighting relegation that's not grandeur that's progress.

posted on 16/10/17

Nev, Thorney & Prawn can hardly be accused of having "Delusions of Grandeur" in being disappointed about our start to the season and, given the team's performances towards the latter end of last season, it would be reasonable to expect at the very minimum a mid-table position. Anything less than that will be regress not progress.

Hey-ho tonight's starting line-up looks very positive so we all remain optimistic and 3 points would see us climb to 13th - come on you foxes!!!

Four seasons as a Premier League, a title and a Champions League quarter final later and some people still bleat on about 'delusions of grandeur'. There's nothing delusional about being mildly fed up with being in the bottom 3 whilst playing hideous, dour football.

Some of you are so small time it's hilarious. We're not playing Stockport and Hereford now y'know.
