I'd be surprised if he made the 18.
He doesn't look as fit as he probably should do for being back as long as he has been now and his performance yesterday for the reserves wasn't that of somebody who seemed particularly bothered.
He just looks a bit lost to me right now.

It's very frustrating with Shaw, there's clearly a talent there but a combination of persistent injuries (which existed long before we bought him) and what seems to be a a weak mentality are hindering his progress.
The injury at PSV was clearly a huge blow for the lad but that was over 2 years now. If he can't sort out these niggles, get his fitness up to scratch and look like he really wants to reach his potential then he's got no chance. He's looked overweight with manb--bs pretty much the entire time he's been at the club and based on what he said in an interview last season lives with his mates which doesn't sound right. Hopefully he realises what could be achieved and puts his head down but I've been saying that for ages now.
