Seeing as winter is approaching and it's nearly time to get out your hats and scarves again, I thought I'd take the opportunity to mention a small Manchester based independent clothing brand called Rosso Bianco Nero which was set up by Bury-born brothers Nick and Marcus Dydyna around 5 years ago.
They work with local suppliers and manufacturers to make various clothing products including a wide range of bobble hats in particular which have gained them a cult following.
The thing I like about RBN is they're not about mass production. Their hats are made in very limited numbers, usually between about 100-150. They get their inspiration from all sorts of stuff, from old United kits, programmes and tickets to players past and present.
If you go to games, you may have seen a few of their bobble hats. For an idea of what they do, have a look on their website and twitter account to see some of their older and upcoming designs.

Thirty quid for a feckin bobble hat?

Yup and people don't mind paying it.
When they go on sale, their hats usually sell out in a matter of minutes.
They're excellent quality and the more expensive hats are made from British Wool.

Nicer than the '5' ones you see people wearing at games from Ferdinands clothing range to be fair.

Much nicer than anything else around, from Rio's range to anything in the megastore which is nothing but cheap tat.

Paying a heavy premium though just for the satisfaction that 1 in every 1000 people that see you near OT know it's a football related branded hat.
I got a free United woolly hat with my membership last season or this season cant remember which pack it came in, gave it to my little cousin it was so cheap and thin you could've felt the guy in the row behinds breath on your head through it

It's not really why I buy them. I just love the look of them, not all but most of them and they're bloody warm.
Yeah I got the same hat with my membership pack. Gave it away too.

I'm warm enough with my Fellaini wig at games so don't need one.

Even that wasn't from the megastore, they're a rip off and nowhere near as good quality. You can get a Dennis the Menace one from most fancy dress shops that are twice as good.

I am a fan of TRS but a fashion article...ok, i see the tenuous football link but i find it all amusing.
Btw, thirty quid is small potatoes for a well-made headgear.
