Calling Quinny

Are you there pal?

Did you get there OK?

If you're there, you're sure of a grand welcome in any of the local bars. The Politician on Eriskay or Pollachar will probably be closest for you.

Let me know how you get on.

You need to check out which pubs will be showing the game tomorrow.

Politician - probably
Pollachar - maybe.
Borrodale - again, not sure unless they tap into someone's Sky Go
Lochboisdale - definitely. It's more your Glesga howff though. Kinda reminds me of The Dolphin at Partick Cross back in the 70s. Great craic though.

On a sunny day, that is one of the most stunning views you'll find to enjoy a pint. Sunny days are a rarity though.

Crossing The Minch after Ophelia - I'm guessing the fish have been well fed.

It's been far too long show.

Best part of 20 since I was here it was during the 87 heatwave.

I'd moved south by then and don't remember that one. Mind you, what qualifies for a heatwave in Uist means you can just about take your coat off, but the Aran jumper stays on.

In 76 it pashed down every day while the rest of the country was having a drought. Feck, we even had tourists coming from the south of England to see what rain looked like.
