Danny Rose

Moving on from that fantastic performance and result last night ( Could of won it had Kane not missed that sitter ). I was happy that Danny Rose got some minutes and got a good reception from the Spurs fans chanting his name. He was a stupid boy for coming out with that interview but like I said at the time, i actually agreed with a lot of what he said but he didn't come across very well.

That being said, he is a Spurs player and should be supported like a Spurs player. I didn't particularly like Adebayor but would never boo or give him stick when I went to games, so I'm glad Rose wasn't subjected to any abuse. I thought in the little time he had, he made some important challenges and gave us something different last night. He's obviously not back to full fitness yet but can't wait to see him back batlting with Davies. The question is, will he start against Liverpool? COYS!!!

I don't think that Rose actually crossed Poch, his comments were not directed at Poch & his team but more at the fiscal policy of the club in terms of contracts and wages.

If he had downed tools or criticised Poch & team etc then I think he would not have returned last night.

As for Harry missing a sitter last night........................must have missed that!

All I saw was Navas tipping the ball over the bar and then just pushing an on target shot just wide of the post.

We get so used to Harry scoring that it is classed as a sitter if he misses

I can see us using Mousa in a more protective manner in order to get maximum usage of his skills and abilities.

On his day he is one of the best players in Europe, almost impossible to knock of the ball or dispossess.

Possibly the bench and bring him on for last 15-20 minutes????

I like Liverpool/ Klopp but unlike Poch I don't think you guys have much of a plan B/ Tactical flexibility.. thus the slight on Klopp that there isn't much difference between his "pool" & Rogers. In fact I think Rogers had a better points total through the same number of games. I do agree that we are similar in a sense that we both play the high press well but frankly, we are better defensively, have a keeper, have a proper center forward and can play in a number of different formations. Don't think you can say the same. Poch over Klopp all day and we'll be above you again come the end of the season... But like I said, I like Klopp (funny b@stard) & you guys are good to watch

Good to read

Wonder if Poch is considering the option of using him further forward again with Davies as a standard LB in a 4 on occassion or that was just a one-off last night.

Get the maximum out of Rose for rest of the season and then see if he still wants to go in summer.

He’s saying the right things atm which is a good sign

'I was expecting a frosty reception from the fans tonight so I just have to say thank you to them for giving me a great reception when I came on and when I was training afterwards,' Rose said.
'I want to thank them again for chanting my name. I'm trying to look forward now for the rest of the season. First and foremost I have to try to win my shirt back.
'It's gone now, my manager has forgotten about it and we all move forward and we try to win this club a trophy. It's forgotten about. My opinions will be voiced in a different way from now on.'
Rose had been out for almost nine months after damaging his medial ligaments but while it was initially considered a fairly manageable injury, the full back was then forced to have surgery in May.
'The past eight months have been very difficult, very frustrating,' Rose said.
'It's been hard to watch the lads do well last season and even this season they've done very well. It's been difficult to watch. But to come on for the last 15 minutes (against Real), it was special and I can't wait to get going now"

From Danny Rose I knew the good reception wouldn't get unnoticed. Glad to see he is getting his head down now.
