Is Mourinho moaning over injuries.....

.....for Man Utd? When we played Real Madrid on Tuesday - Wanyama, Dembele, Alli and Rose didn't play.

I can't find any transcript of that interview and don't tend to take tweets with much seriousness.

Not saying this isn't correct, but is there anywhere with the full interview?

Would like to see the context.

Not sure mate I just saw that quote in the tweet, Mel Reddy is a good journalist so I'd be confident it's a direct quote however you're right in terms of what the context was.

As a stand alone quote it does sond like his complaining but like I said it's not a big deal as all managers constantly contradict themselves.

This notion of deflection, I know fergie did it for years and was very good at it. But with Jose now everytime he says something it'sdesigned to deflect, but if we're all fully aware he is trying to deflect from a poor performance has he successfully delfected?

Like the majoprity of the talk this week has been about how united set up, so did any deflectio nwork this time?

He has done it brilliantly in the past but maybe it's been done so much now it really doesn't work anymore?

I think Maureen is nowhere near as good as SAF at deflecting. SAF did it with a venomous glare that would turn a hardened journo into a gibbering school girl. Nowadays Maureen tries to deliver his opinion with an enigmatic smile like he’s all knowing and just handing out goodies to the plebs. I personally feel a little sullied after listening to him. By the by, I loathed him at Chelsea as well so it’s nowt to do with Utd. About the only time I haven’t wished woe on the man is when he was in Spain. Out of sight out of mind. I was gutted they only took a few years to realise he was not as good as his self-promotion suggested.

I agree, but if he was responding to a question about why he didn't change things and move to a more attacking approach, it suddenly becomes more 'reasoning' than 'complaining', wouldn't you agree?

I agree with this.

Not saying it's a great idea or works very well, just that I think his comments about other people moaning about injuries are to deflect attention away from two insipid and negative performances.

It's not about the attention itself.

It's about diverting the attention away from the subject that you don't want people focusing on.

Ferguson was a master at it and so is Jose.

And like sheep, you all lap it up.

Such a genius we all see through it

Does everyone still think he is a bus-parking cant?

Yes

If his aim was for us to think he was a hypocritical bus-parking cant he has certainly succeeded

Do you?

Last time I checked, people were falling over themselves to claim that he's a hypocrite.

Looks like most people took the bait to me.

Oh yeah. He has fooled everyone. Genius

The only person who has bitten on this is Conte. Cosidering Chelsea are miles off, it can only be assumed he has a fixation with Chelsea and is very bitter about his sacking still.
