Warburton Tactically was inept, as a coach he could take a piece of poo and train it to look like a golden nugget

Rodgers has played 4-2-3-1, 5-4-1, 3-4-3, and 4-1-3-2. During games, he has changed formations and personnel to adapt.

Warburton only ever changed like for like.

To suggest Rodgers only has one way of playing is naive, or a wind up.

What seems to be confusing a lot of Bears is that they are confusing tactics and mindset.
-------------------------------------------------------------

What seems to be confusing a lot of celtic fans is that the Bears actually do understand concepts like tactics, formations and footballing philosophies.

These are not high falutin concepts that only Brendans disciples understand.

Warburton was equally criticised for sticking to a 4-3-3, for constantly insisting that the keeper never goes long (often giving the ball to defenders in tight situations when they didn't want it), for insisting all corners were taken short and crosses into the box were an absolute last resort, for constantly employing smallish lightweight tippy tappy midfield players who constantly recycled the ball around the middle third of the park etc etc.

Warburtons 'Plan' was a combination of all these things and more - of formation, personnel, tactics and footballing ideals.

And I think the criticism Brendan is getting is not just for his formation. Its his overall approach which encompasses some or all of the elements above.

To dismiss what I think is reasonably valid criticism by just saying 'ficko bears don't understand sh11t about football' just shows the type of arrogance which I think is the biggest threat to Celtics dominance long term.

Just sayin
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A lecture from JDF about arrogance?!?

Still not understanding the difference between ‘plans’ and ‘mindset’ though. This debate won’t move forward until that difference is accepted.

Anyway-kids are nearly home. I don’t have an issue with criticism of Rodgers, btw. He’s made many mistakes, and will make more in the future. But-i think bears are arguing over the wrong point here.

With the squad that Brendan has, he can only set up two ways. He is limit d in what he has too work with and that will not change as Lawell will never give him the way heat he need to buy more versatile players
