Has she got a point?

http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41688871

Goalkeeping coach investigated about speaking to aluko in a carribean accent.

Is this pc brigade gone mad, and she should just keep her mouth shut? Or has she a point and this is a form of discrimination?

Plenty of people here haven't read about the whole situation. The Manager was cleared in two flawed inquiries. It was only in the third that they fired him. This after the female player's name was dragged through the mud.

The FA knew they messed up. They tried to buy her silence.

Huh? Do people just spout whatever rubbish comes into their head?

The FA sacked him based on a safeguarding report in a previous role he held in club football, which actually concluded that he was fit to continue in management.

In effect due to social pressure, and the pc culture we live in, the FA were desperately looking for any reason to sack him... because they couldn't find any evidence of racism or foul play during his time as england manager.

someone hasn't done their research.

Yeah and that person appears to be you as what he said was bang on the money.

Clearly none of you brain dead morons know what he was sacked for, which had nothing to do with his perfectly non racist comment

Sheep don't let things like facts and innocent until proven guilty get in the way of getting on their high horse and labelling someone racist

People so desperate to hang someone out to dry for any old thing these days. Truly sad. I think a lot of these people don’t realise they damage they do because when a case that actually has some merit is put forward people don’t care half as much due to the fact people are desperate to label everything and everyone racist, bigots etc etc in this day and age.

Sorry, I got the two mistaken. The Bristol allegations were where he was sacked. That was after he was passed fit (and the FA apparently only read it a few days before sacking him). Though it sounds like they sacked him because this could be much bigger and much worse than Big Sam's lite chat with the undercover press.

The investigation into the allegations that Sampson made racist remarks and/or discriminated were reopen because they c0cked them up initially. Many of the main protagonists were not interviewed. Two former players also spoke out about his reign.

If he was a Uni lecturer, he'd have lost his job.

Covers most points.

He had a 6 months relationship with a player at Bristol City. Now the FA have sacked him after their own unit passed him fit to Manage England. It is very convenient of them to sack him now giving the other excuse.

In the vast majority of proffesions he wouldn’t

IMO, I don't think the FA really care about the relationship he had with the player. They just wanted an excuse to sack him to save their own skin. And the excuse couldn't be him being racist as they messed up two investigations.

Being a teacher isn't any like most professions. You have a lot of power and influence over the students under you. Being a coach may be similar. Depends on his role at the academy back then.
