Mo Salah was offered a luxury villa by Egyptian businessman Mamdouh Abbas, the former president of the club Zamalek for his role in Egypt reaching their first WC finals sinse 1990.
Salah turned down the offer and asked the businessman to instead make a donation to Salah's home village.

He could've taken the villa and given it to his village.

Whilst it was indeed a good gesture, such things are easy to do when in a position of extreme wealth. I reckon 99% of people would show similar displays of generosity if they had several million in the bank 👍
