The top 4 race

Very early stages of the season, not even 10 games in and people are already talking about who looks stronger and who will/won't make the cut this season. For me personally, the only 2 sides so far in these early stages that have shown the signs of finishing in the top 4 are both the Manchester clubs. Other than that, the other 4 teams (Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs) all have their flaws amongst all the positives. We won't talk about Everton...

Chelsea for me I think will finish in the top 4, but just. There is a lot going on behind the scenes at the club. The whole Costa saga over the summer and dragging into the season, players are rumoured to be frustrated with Conte's training methods (as posted on here today) and Conte's future in doubt. Certainly a dark cloud hanging over Stamford Bridge at the moment.

Spurs look far from convincing at home. I personally can't see them beating any of the top 6 at home this season, already lost to Chelsea and I think Liverpool will beat them tomorrow as well. They haven't adapted to life at Wembley yet and even though that might improve throughout the course of the season, there is no guarantee of that and they may have dropped too many points at home by this stage already. Relying on your away form in this league is like playing with fire.

Arsenal are just Arsenal. Dark days around the club, still that divide between the Wenger in and Wenger out parade surely can't be good for the players, or the manager. There best shot at CL football for me is through the EL, just like United last year. Don't think they have that mental ability in this squad to see it through, not with players' future in doubt like Sanchez and Ozil.

Liverpool for me have dropped some points early doors that they really wouldn't have wanted to. But all the top 6 will drop some points throughout the course of the season, so its not a huge issue right now, as long as it improves. A bit of inconsistency in the early stages hasn't settled in well so far. The whole Coutinho saga and even some ridiculous "Klopp out" comments won't help the dust settle.

So right now, none of these 4 teams have convinced me they are a sure hit for the top 4 this season. As I've previously said, only United and City have. The only divide between them now is the league table positions at this moment in time and in truth, by the end of May, that will be what settles the difference between them all, as we all know. But we haven't played 10 games yet, there is still A LOT of football left to be played and a lot of points to play for. For at least 3rd and 4th in this league, its all to play for. Although I think it goes to Chelsea and Liverpool in my opinion this year.

Means nothing mate. Bolton had a great record against us and we're regularly battling relegation. Does that mean Bolton were better than us? Sorry you got no leg to stand on here. In a 38 game season where you prove it throughout, you always finish below us, why? Because we're a better side than you and have been for years

jlou trying to make out somehow Liverpool are as good as Spurs over a 38 game season, when season after season they clearly are not. Not one Liverpool player would get in the current Spurs side.

Sandy, youve been predicting a Spurs win for 5 years now, and consistently get it wrong.

I also consistently predict Spurs to finish above Liverpool, a fact that you conveniently seem to overlook.

Liverpool fans amuse me where they think two games between the two clubs decides which team is better. The season is over 38 games, and the table never lies. Spurs by a distance have been finishing in front of Liverpool now for the best part of a decade.

I have no real problem with Liverpool fans, but season after season Spurs finish a good way in front of them, and then they say, the two teams are on par which each other, when they clearly are not. A bit of humility on their part would not go amiss. They still think they are living back in the 70s and 80s.

Yet another numpty a total delusion can only see his team winning and being top

First off the game you mention us on Sunday

Shows how much you know about it

Secondly we already beat a side that is way better than Liverpool and we did that at Wembley !

Dortmund unless you have hunk Liverpool are better ?

You say don’t mention Everton fir top 4? Well this season Liverpool won’t make it
You guys made it just last year mainly due to United dropping points

Liverpool’s attack is so overrated. Salah firms good but hardly world beaters
