So at present hes free to leave for nothing in the summer i think, Can and his representatives are currently refusing to sign a contract a LFC because(according to reports) they want a release clause inserted into his contract; Liverpool do not.
I have to say well done LFC, release clauses are a foreign concept and a way a team loses its best players when it doesnt want too. If Can cant accept the LFC terms then bye bye. Get somebody else in who wants to play for us and let the mercenaries leave.
The club will be in a much stronger position if the players we sign know LFC dont do release clauses. Some may not come but imo there is enough talent that will.

The release clause is only part of the problem. Wages have to reflect the release clause. So if we are saying ok set it at 50m then his wages need to reflect a 50m player
If his wages shoot up others will want a pay rise too.
Can't blame him, most if not all would do the same ie look after number 1
ANY club allowing players into their last years of their contracts deserve everything they get inc us

Coutinho doesn't have one. Enabled us to tell Barca to do one.

We should just agree to playing him in the deepest position then he will sign. We can sell him for a higher price next season when Keita comes in.
