Martin Bain was spotted in Glasgow today stepping out of his new Saracen armoured vehicle, and sporting full body armour, he is said to be " a Tad " concerned over his personal safety, following recent attacks on the Celtic manager, after the "Bares supporters trussed" made a swingeing statement relating to his compensation claim, and subsequent freezing of club assets..

He'll definitely be looking over his shoulder for the forseeable future all it takes is 1 nutter to have a go as we seen last season.

I have respect for Martin Bain and understand his desire to chase a payout. However Whyte is right when he makes the point that Bain has used the tax case to protect him from losing out on a personal fortune when it is, in some part, due to his mismanagement that it is an issue and that is staggering.
Whilst Bain has a right to chase his payout, real Rangers people such as Walter Smith, Bill Struth and John Greig will be embarrassed for putting this ahead of the club at the present moment. No matter what his previous role at the club was, he has lost all respect from the fans as a Rangers man IMO.

Aye! I`m afraid that their reputation precedes them!

smid it is a bit surprising that a rangers man would do this to the club he supposedly loves especially with all the problems going on in the backround but it is 1.3mill he's claiming he's entitled too it aint peanuts, but i agree some of the blame for whats going on must lay at his feet,he was the ceo and clearly he has played a part in the mess going on behind the scenes.

Yeah theres the two sides to it, on one side can you expect someone to put loyalty to a football club before 1.3m? However at the same time its not money hes entitled to or the club have refused to pay him, its money hes claiming for unfair dismissal which is what sticks in peoples throats.
Guys like Walter Smith, McCoist etc have said in the past that they will stay as long as Rangers want them and if the club get rid of them then fine they leave no grudges and wish the club all the best. None of the other previous board members are jumping to defend Bain or taking similar routes which tells you something. My thoughts are if it was me I might be angry at Whyte but id still leave on good terms with the club and go out in a dignified manner. What hes done means he will always be remembered as a mercenary rather than a loyal servant to the club, which is a shame although many fans like myself never liked him when he was there so dont exactly love him now.

it looks like he couldn't care less what happens to your club and is just after a big payday holding the club to ransom at the same time so i can understand why your fans are raging at him tbh

He's hung himself out to dry.
He's received a ridiculous amount of money over the past few years, and achieved little.
Can't imagine he'll be showing his face out and about in Glasgow anytime soon.
