well that was fun now wasn't it???
I want to answer a few things that keep recurring on these pages
1. Klopp has said that hes "happy with the defence we have"
To me its obvious that Klopp only wanted the players we went for in the summer and when he couldn't get them, he didn't want to settle. it would appear that he has backing and assurances that he can go for who he wants and have the time to build the squad he wants.
so when he said that about our defence at the summers end, he is merely attempting to give our defence a boost. whats he gonna say? "yeah these lads are shiiite, but im shafted til Jan innit!??"
Now im not saying we shoudnt have gone for another cb, but it shows jurgens singlemindedness to go for what he wants. (almost my way or the highway)
2. Sakho deserved a chance like Coutinho and Can
ive seen it compared, the situation with sakho in the summer last year and the 2 situations with Can contract and Couts/barce issue. Can and Couts have done nothing wrong. One wants a specific new contract and the other is being chased for being great and tried to leave. neither have been unprofessional about it. Sakho flouted club rules turned up late more than once and acted out on social media. Klopp showed a firm hand and his singlemindedness again. he set a precedent and others will think twice. its a recognised management technique.
3. Still not replaced Mignolet
TBF a lot of us on here made the comment thad migs had earned another shot at the No1 following his strong last few months of last season. so yeah we should have expected it. Does Ward deserve to start vs Huddersfield
4. we need a plan B
heard it said we need a plan b. a big lad up top to give us a diff option with the long ball occasionally. not a bad shout tbf. but I heard someone big up andy carroll??? ffs!!! lets be realistic, we need a strong good in the air type true but he still needs the Klopp work ethic. has to fit the system
so all in all. am I happy with Klopp? overall yes. but....
he does need to sort some things out. BEFORE January tho!
-pick a keeper
-for me Gomez earned a cb role with matip today. pace and with practice with joel, a partnership needs to form.
-Jordan is not a dm or deep lying playmaker. Can needs the role. hendo/milner as no 8. couts in mf is more effective for the team.
- ox on the left. give him some game time, see if he can justify th signing.
- or salah on the left, milner on rw . good crosser, runs all day and great support for trent playing at rb
stupidity - doing the same things time and time again and expecting different results!!!

It was woeful but we still conceded two woeful goals with him off the park.
Actually a fair point about Gomez and Ox.
For Huddersfield I'd play:
Karius
TAA Gomez Matip Moreno
Milner Can (sadly) Coutinho
Salah Firmino Ox

Seriously no to Milner at midfield. He has never been a midfielder in his career and yesterday he was out of his depth.
That midfield will get destroyed. We need to give Can the holding role and I would also look to bring in Grujic.

No - some of our posters said otherwise in the summer.
They said Migs had cut the mistakes and deserved his place and it has been to the detriment of the club persisting with dross like Lovren, Migs and Henderson.
