Watford F.C.

Hats off to them, they've been scrutinised as a "trigger happy" club previously with many quote on quote "unfair" sackings, with the likes of Quique Sanchez Flores as the prime example, but overall, the strategy is working for them and paying dividends.

The BBC covers them well for who hasn't read it. I particularly like how they let the board deal with potential "distractions" to the coaches job. The board deal with the transfers and the way they shape, build and improve the club. Overall, they let the "head coach" deal with the performances on the pitch and the tactics. Logically, Marco Silva was a clever appointment. He showed good tactical qualities at his brief time at Hull. He managed to build an organised side with tactical finesse, he just didn't have the time or the players, or even the finances to do it as Hull were destined from the drop, but certainly enhanced his reputation and now Watford have allowed him to stick by these tactical and coaching qualities and allowed him to put his ideas across. Sure, he probably won't be there in a season or two, but it seems to be working for them. Maybe a model to follow by for some other clubs or adapt? Read more here.

The likes of Stoke and WBA are long guilty of it.

And Palace. Basically anyone Pulis has managed.

We're a lucky bunch to support such a successful side, but Watford FC Supporters are living in great times right now, watching their club being built into a successful model must be a lot of fun, I wish them well, as long as their interests don't f*ck with ours.

They'll eventually run out of good managers if they keep it up though

There's a world full of managers to choose from, I'm sure they'll do just fine.

Wrong board pal. Neither Liverpool or Manchester are anywhere near Watford
----------------------------------------------------------------------

But a large percentage of their fans live in the area

How long do you think it’ll take Arouna to (a) realise his joke was rubbish and (b) realise someone had already posted the same joke 3 hours ago?

I like Watford and appreciate their approach but I can’t help but think that sooner or later they’ll appoint the wrong person and it’ll come tumbling down. Can’t keep sacking decent managers and except it to work for you.

They seem to know how to spot a good coach, that's for sure. But there's not many out there that are actually good and at Watford level.

I'm sure their board have/have had links with Granada and Udinese. Bet there have been some decent managers come through the ranks for some time now.

Maybe not Tony Adams like.
