I suppose at least they can be given credit for risking imprisonment for huge monetary gain, rather than our friends from tottenham, who thieve for their own personal gratification.

Can't be good for attracting top players. Rumours are that Keita thinks he has made a huge mistake committing to a Europa League standard side, and now he wants to go to Manchester instead.

Liverpool is the third-safest of the big cities, after Birmingham and Edinburgh, but this creates a bad image, (especially on the Chelsea board).

I thought something had been done about this?
I wouldn’t have thought it would be that difficult to arrange security for when the players are away.

It’s a feature of high-wealth disparity, that once you make a lot of money, you have to live behind high walls.
Shouldn’t be, obviously, but it is.

I think because a couple of gangs have focussed in on it.
It happened at first by chance, when a burglar found rich pickings at Jerzy Dudek’s house, and then hit on the idea of doing others while they were away.

He was eventually locked up, and I thought it had all been dealt with by extra security arrangements, but evidently not, because now another group, or another couple of groups, perhaps, have picked up where he left off.

There was a big spate of them in Manchester too, presumably for the same reason...that a group focussed in on it.

Burglary-rates in general aren’t high....they’re lower than most cities , and much lower than London, but some group has obviously decided that footballers gaffs are rich pickings, and footballers are away a lot (and you can predict when).

Why extra security arrangements haven't more generally been made is anybody's guess...I thought they had.
