MOM for me was Firmino....hes like a road runner and he has strength as well, what a player
The press, goals, hard work and assists...and what a technical player he is, top top player.
Agree with Klopp.

I think we should play 4-2-3-1 instead of 4-3-3
Firmino is a midfielder, not a striker
put someone in front of the front 3 who is a natural striker and finisher. 2 holding mids is enough

Firmino is not a midfielder.
He can play behind the striker or either side. He'd get slaughtered in midfield.
I do agree and have done for a long time that we should play 4-2-3-1 however. Can deepest with Henderson helping out when we don't have the ball and getting on it and getting forward when we do. Coutinho behind Firmino/Sturridge depending on the game and Salah and Mane either side. It suits us better and gives the defence more cover.

Firmino started out as a holding midfielder and was an attacking mid when we bought him.
Using him as a striker was our idea, he'd never played there before. I think there's goals in him but I don't think centreforward is his bag baby

Firmino would get slaughtered as a midfielder. Yes he could play off the striker as an attacking midfielder, where I think he's best but we have found something that works up front with Mane and Salah close to him so we have no need to change it. Certainly he could not play as a midfielder in the PL.

I do agree in some games he doesn't work as the main striker. But after we get the first goal that changes. With both Salah and Mane either side of him this becomes easier. Get Coutinho back fit and we could see the last of that issue.

we agree on 4-2-3-1 and why

Firmino played striker for one season for Hoffenheim.

He played as a number 10 that one year, I stand partially corrected
The point still stands, I don't think he's an out and out centreforward to lead the line. He is a very crafty playmaker who chips in with a fair few goals. I like him a lot but think a natural striker would make the attack more balanced and get more out of him overall.

I partly agree. For me with the way we play and having Salah and Mane either side, Firmino works. Sometimes however, and Klopp seems reluctant, we need to change this. Especially when teams park the bus. It allows them to push out and frustrate us. However this season there has been improvement in that respect in no small part due to the signing of Salah.
