That would be nice wouldn't it.
Every reason to think we could as well as its hard not to be a little optimistic given the past week.
Three good wins, 1 goal conceded, Mane back, Lallana and Cout on their way back and some reject who we didn't need banging them in for fun.
Trouble is I think we actually have to if we want top four (which I feel for Liverpool at this time, this season, is particularly important) and we really need to beat Chelsea. Not easy. We also have to factor in we can be suddenly quite awful defensively for no reason what so ever and Stoke beat us or something. If we could though that would close things right up and I quite like the look of our December fixtures compared to our rivals.
Can we do it? Where will we finish?
3 wins and a draw

Yeah but you are absolutely clueless about anything football related.

He has a point Stretty tbf.
Overall I just want to see our stronest side out for a few games. That front four could be great to watch.
It's always good to reassess after the first set of Jan fixtures. If we've done okay, or better, hopefully we try and sign a player or two who could make a difference to the first team.

liverpool will finish above utd easily.
but that may only be for 4th.

Top two will be City and Spurs, then probably Chelsea, and then just one place left for three other clubs, including Liverpool.

I think we’ll struggle for top 4 if I’m really honest.
Like most people, I think City will win the title. Spurs have been really impressive so far, actually they’ve been impressive for a couple of seasons now, and are certainties for top 4 imo.
That leaves two spots open and 3 or 4 (depending on your view of Arsenal) vying. I just look at Chelsea and Utd and think they have a greater ability to grind out 3 points against the majority of epl teams. It might not be pretty (in Utd’s case anyway) but it’s effective.
One of two things need to happen for us to get top 4 - either we need to learn to finish teams off and take 3 points even when not playing wonderfully well or Chelsea/Utd need to implode a little bit.
Both are capable of an implosion and we’re capable of pulling ourselves together and grinding out 3 points game after game. Not sure I’d put money on it though. My guess is that Utd and Liverpool will be 4th and 5th. I fear we’ll be the wrong side of the CL line.

Secure our passage to the knockout stages of the CL and we can seriously focus on the league until the end of Jan. Which can set us up really nicely because in those months only Chelsea, Arsenal & City are the sides which should really really trouble us. We have our iffy fixtures like Bournemouth & Burnley away and Leicester at home...draws against them are acceptable in all honesty.
I think the next set of fixtures will give a better indication of where the squad & Klopp is at. Southampton, Sevilla & Chelsea is a nice test. The reaction after Spurs has been great but realistically it's been against Hudders, Maribor & West Ham. It will be difficult finding a better set of fixtures to build confidence after the run we had that capitulated at Wembley.
I think Klopp will love a run in the CL and that may have a major impact on our league form. I also fancy us in the competition because we'll certainly have more space for our attack to wreck havoc than we do in the league.
And if we can we should certainly try and utilise the January transfer window because as mentioned this defence can make things really really difficult for us.
I wont be too fussed if we miss out on the top4 this season as I think it's going to be that tight. All I want is for us to perform to our full potential on a consistent basis..this includes Klopp as well.

Agreed.
I've no idea but I think we're better than some think. Just be nice to see the first team out and see how we go.

I think we have lost 3 out of 23 in the league now.
I am pretty confident about the next couple of months.

Draws are a killer though. We lost two under Rafa, the only time a team has lost that few and not won the league, so that's my fear really. Need to improve our h2h against last seasons top six too.

I think apart from City the top 6 will beat eachother this year.
Already seen it really. Us and Spurs beaten twice, Utd beaten once. Chelsea beaten once. Arsenal beaten twice.
