Reading v Wolves match preview

Here again, for a couple of days only, GeminMallorca brings you the chance to discuss Saturday’s game before Sir Halfy once again works his magic to bring you points hungry fans another match day thread to savour.

November is a funny old month! On one hand Wolves went into this November not having won a November game for 4 years. On the other hand, Derby County have the reputation for gaining points and climbing the table in November. This November didn’t start according to plan for them either. When Reading came calling they left with all 3 points leaving Derby wondering how they just conceded 4 goals against a team 12 places below them in the league.

Saturday 18th November sees Wolves head south to the Madejski stadium to take on The Royals.

With the international break now over Nuno Espirito Santo can get back to the business of steering his young and hungry wolf pack towards the league title and the promised land beyond. The biggest scare that the Wolves faithful have had to endure lately is the attempt of Everton to entice Nuno away from Molineux to replace the sacked Ronald Koeman. Nuno however is fully focussed on the job in hand and has made it quite clear that he would not consider exchanging his high flying squad for a struggling premiership team just 6 places above them.

Sitting comfortably at the top of the table Wolves have had 2 weeks to recover from their hectic 5 game spell culminating in that convincing win against Fulham in front of a 24,000 Molineux crowd. Expect to see very few changes from that team however Barry Douglas is suspended so Ruben Vinagre has another chance to showcase his skills before the January window opens.

Reading also come in on the back of a convincing win against Derby at Pride Park. However, they have not enjoyed the best of seasons so far with 5 wins, 3 draws and 7 losses leaving them only 6 points above the drop zone. They currently sit 18th in the league with 18 points but with only 15 games played, they have a game in hand.

Jaap Stam has announced this week that The Royals are "not scared" of Wolves. As we all know, this probably means quite the opposite!
Reading of course, is now home to ex- Wolves players Dave Edwards and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson. Neither player has scored for the Royals since September and I don’t expect either will penetrate the Wolves defences to score on Saturday.

Wolves Disabled Supporters Association (Wolves DSA) are travelling to Reading on Saturday, there are two Coaches going which are free to members, well done you guys, have a great day.

Gem’s prediction:
Reading 0 Wolves 2

I'd like to see someone ask him why he couldn't produce the goods at Wolves.

Coleman has done well with Wales but never really hacked it as a club manager. Sunderland heading for League One now I suspect

I reckon he will do enough to keep them up
