Who will be our next manager?

The odds on McInnes getting the job are slipping and it's looking increasingly unlikely the bookies favourite will get the job, you would imagine we would have had it wrapped up over the international break if he was the main target.

So who are the board looking at?

Murty would be the obvious one, he's done well each time he's been called upon and seems like a genuinely well liked member of staff. It would of course be a huge gamble. The money saving option with potential.

O'Neill has said he is looking for a route back into club management, would be a surprise appointment considering his Celtic connections and lack of experience with top level club football. The gamble, can he replicate his relative international success into the club game.

Wright is another that had he been the target we would surely have him in place by now. He would be a wholly unexciting appointment.

McLaren is still doing the rounds but is not the man for me.

Another who has thrown his hat into the ring this week is Tim Sherwood.

An option I hope the board take a long hard look at, he's shown he has a knack for getting misfiring strikers going, done well at Spurs, less so at Villa.

He's my new personal favourite for the job!
