Only a hint of arrogance stopping

Morata becoming the best striker in the PL.

I am a huge believer in his ability and feel that he is an incredibly talented all round striker. He is still young and the only thing possibly missing from his game is that arrogance and aura that Drogba had on the pitch.

Pep will likely do 4 years max, so lets hope they screw up the replacement as badly as Bayern did.

apart from possibly Heynckes....has any other manager come close to getting a team to implement Pep's type of football?

No, but Tito and then Enrique kept the evolution going at Barca.

Has Morata ever even bagged 15 goals in a league campaign?

Costa was definitely a better player.

15 from 26 games last season and 8 from 11 already this season....

to an extent yes, but it always felt like a slightly diluted version...a bit like Chelsea for the 3 or 4 years after Jose left the first time round

I don't think Heynckes' Bayern played like a Pep team tbh. But his 12-13 Bayern vintage was amazing (better than Pep's Bayern sides that followed).

To answer your Q, yes.

Wenger's Arsenal in 07-08 did it. I actually said yesterday that the 2007-08 Arsenal team was 'Barca before Barca were Barca'.

We used the 'passing carrousel' that Barca later became famous for. We dominated almost very game we played that season despite not having a star-studded team.

Whoever managed Barca in 12-13 did it as well. They actually matched Real's points record (100), which is more than Pep ever got.

I think Pep's Barca was much more than the passing carousal. His Barca were equally about how they won the ball back as a team when they didn't have it.

The Arsenal 2007/2008 team never did that hence why they didn't come close to winning the title.
