Brewers Predictor (18): Brentford

I must confess to feeling extremely despondent about the Brewers at present. I don't look forward to going to games and watching it is torturous when I am there.

I actually look forward to going home when I am there and whilst I always stay until the end (with the exception of that Port Vale 7-1 away defeat), I am itching to leave. Sometimes I am itching to go home after 30 minutes of the first half.

I went to every game at home and virtually every away game in the Pesch era when we were in the bottom 2 of League 2 and the gloom didn't feel the same. Either that or the feelings have faded with time.

Lose 2-0.

Well we are doing better away from home:-

Brentford 1 -1 Brewers

I still look forward to going to home matches as well and whatever I've predicted here I always feel optimistic (before kick off anyway!). I've not managed to get to any away matches yet this season.

I felt last season that if we only had one season in the Championship, then it would have been an adventure that I for one never, ever thought we'd achieve. Then again I never thought we'd ever get in the EFL.

That said, I can perfectly understand how you feel Otep and yes you're right the gloom does seem worse than the Pesch era when we were bottom of League. I suppose that even though I and others know full well we'll be going down at the end of the season, we still hope for another season in the Championship, unrealistic as it may be.

I still try to be optimistic, but it's becoming very hard. As they quite often win when I predict they'll lose, I'm going to predict:
Brentford 3 Albion 1

Hi Otep

I getting to the point I look forward to the couple games of pool with the grandson at a local hostelier rather than the game.
We know Nigel stubborn but he not stupid so hopefully he's realising the issues!!!
So I'm going to be brave and go for :-

Bees 0-1 Brewers

A wise voice summed it up for me at the last game. The voice said 'I don't mind us losing. Last season we lost games and went down with a fight. This season we don't seem to compete like we did last'.

Brentford scoring for fun at the moment. Last 4 brewers games I have seen we have conceded 15. (I was away for Ipswich). But lots of talk about defending better on the road so park the yellow brick bus again and go for 0-0.

We just can't tighten up games at the moment.
Last season we never let games run out off control, like this season. I can handle the loss, if we are beaten by a better team by the odd goal and we gave it a go.
Over the last 3 seasons the Brewers gave teams nothing and where a nightmare to play against.
What's changed, maybe to many changes and a lack off leadership on the field.
If we do go down, Being a yoyo team between the Championship and league 1 wil still help towards building up the Clubs future.

NC please plug up the holes in our sive of a defence.

Brentford 2 - 0 Brewers
