I loved Robinho as a player but its shameful what he has done and he should be punished if he is guilty.

Well for one there are multiple levels of appeal in Italian law which can drag on for years and also Brazil don’t like honouring extradition treaties signed back in the 30’s especially if they feel one of their own could become a victim or persecuted. Italian nails too.

Brazilian law prohibits the father of a Brazilian child from being extradited. See Ronnie Briggs as an example. Also the further back in time the offence occurred also affects whether the extradite or not.

So seeing as he is back in Brazil then I’m fairly sure he won’t spend a second behind bars. 👍

Why, is it common for rapists not to serve jail sentences in Spain?

People can pay fines or something in spain if they get jail sentences can't they
