I've been reflecting on TC

I started thinking about my views on TC and whether he should be sacked or not.

Just to echo Kernow's and Germany's comments,

The thing I keep reminding myself of is that AR expects us to improve on last season's final position of 7th.

With that in mind, it suggests TC will be given every chance to achieve that target which would explain why he isn't pulling the trigger now.

A look at the table now shows us in 10th place after 18 games, 3 points away from 6th, 5 points adrift of 6th if Derby win their game in hand. An exceptionally good run has been followed by an exceptionally bad run. There are 29 games left for our, and TC's fortunes, to change. We won't win every game but equally, we won't lose every one either.

If AR follows his pre-season target, there's no reason to fire TC now with more than half the season to go. It's much too early. I believe only when 6th spot is no longer mathematically possible will AR consider change. In the meantime, steady nerves are needed and despite results, TC will remain in post.

Personally, I wish him all the best. He comes across as a principled and quietly humble man who needs a bit of luck and a chance to continue what he has started. We've had so many false dawns with owners and managers being chopped and changed over the last 13 years to no avail that I hope he goes on to succeed with LUFC - if not this season, then certainly the next one.

The one area that needs to be addressed is the playing staff. Get the right players in to do the job and we can't complain. Appropriate playing targets met with appropriate investment and we have a chance.

Let's grit our teeth and see this through to the end - who knows, we may be pleasantly surprised. And that doesn't necessarily mean promotion. I can live with another season's disappointment if it means that we improve and become serious contenders next time round.

How can we properly judge TC until the glaring omissions in the squad are addressed.
We need (at least)
A reliable goalie
A recognised LB
A midfield general
If I’m being greedy add to that a proven Championship striker
We started the season without any of those( given that everybody and his dog knew Taylor and Wood would leave and a discarded Green jumped ship).

The other thing regarding TC is that we may never know if it is he or the players at fault for the poor form atm as a new manager may get the best out of the currant squad.......... in coming!!

I say give him a bit more time even though things weren't brilliant Wednesday night I don't think we are a million miles away.
What is evident though certain players are not capable of playing 2 high intensity games within a few days.
I think Ayling is one of those and possibly Hernandez and also Philips so I would personally make changes for Barnsley although Vieira being suspended poses a problem so would be tempted to fill out the midfield with Shaughnessy and Anita so my team would be:
Felix
Beradi
Dallas
Anita
Jenson
Cooper
Shaughnessy
Okane
Ekuban
Saiz
Allioski

Subs.
Roofe
Hernandez
Pennington
Ayling
Philips
Sako
Lonergan

Tell me, EB's lovechild, when is a Leeds game not 'high intensity'? The fact that our players look jaded after an hour is just one of the (many) reasons TC must go.
One or two other worrying factors?
- the loss of shape in defence
- TC's decision making in play - not taking off Vieira is just one of many lapses on his part
- we give goals away like it's Christmas
- lack of leadership on and off the field. I was reminded of this listening to Monk's presser after the game. He came across as the winner.
- short term focus of manager (we win against Barnsley and it's a good week), this just puts more pressure on players
- Lasogga saga - wtf? We all know something's up. Why is it dragging on without any comment from TC or the club?
- Not to mention all the mistakes we made with recruitment and contracts, which posters have already commented on at length.
Look, it's a fiasco. TC must go. Get Nigel Pearson back from Belgium and we will make something of this season, otherwise it's mid-table mediocrity at best.

Tell me how inspired you feel by TC's leadership.

Don't get me wrong I'm not happy with the situation but unless we get hammered against Barnsley I reckon TC will see it through to the January Transfer window.
If we do get hammered then I too would be calling for change as nice a guy TC appears to be.

Just had hoped there were shoots of recovery against Boro and genuinely felt we had turned a corner.

Guys nothing will happen to TC unless / until we are mathematically out of reach of 6th.

We have dropped 27 of the last 33 points BUT TC states - “It’s a good situation,” he said. “If I look back to all the defeats we’ve had I will not be satisfied at all but in general, the situation is that we are there. If we take these three points then I think we’ve done good. There are many new people here, everything is new. It’s a new project and we’re all working to get it going as soon as possible. “I’m working with Victor (Orta, Leeds’ sporting director) and Andrea (Radrizzani, Leeds’ owner) to see what we can do to improve. It’s our job to make it as good as possible for the players and then we have to reply on the pitch – me, being responsible for the team, and the players also.
