1. You're treating opinion as fact.

2. Even if a United player had been given preferential treatment, and it were a recurrent theme rather than a one-off, it would still only suggest a pro-United bias, not an anti-Everton conspiracy.

You're basically applying confirmation bias to your preconceived opinion. You've checked virtually all of the points covered above.

Thank you for a reply that doesn't call me insane, and thanks for taking the time to write it.

The premier league is an entertainment industry these days, whatever keeps the interest going and people talking. I just hope our story is we managed to recover despite all odds, the reverse of Leicester winning the league.

I'm not going to say Everton are too big/good to go down because I've seen a lot of football, but your next manager is able to get everyone pulling in the right direction, then you ought to emerge from your current predicament with quite a bit to spare.
