Match facts
Leeds have only lost one of their last nine league games against Aston Villa (W4 D4), a 2-0 defeat at Villa Park in the 2003-04 season, when they were relegated from the Premier League.
This is only the third meeting between the sides at Elland Road outside the top flight - both sides have one victory each, Villa winning 3-1 in 1987-88 and Leeds winning 2-0 last season.
Ezgjan Alioski could become the first Leeds United player since Ross McCormack in September 2011 to score in five consecutive league appearances for the club.
Steve Bruce has visited Elland Road six times previously as a manager, each time facing a different manager (Terry Venables, Peter Reid, John Carver, Neil Warnock, Steve Evans and Garry Monk); Bruce has won two and lost four of those games, losing the most recent two, both in December with Hull (2015) and Villa (2016).
Leeds have faced the other five sides currently in the top six of the Championship this season and lost four of those matches (W1), accounting for half of their total defeats this season.
Since failing to score in his first 21 away Championship matches for Aston Villa, Albert Adomah has scored five goals in his last six - however, he has never scored in six Championship appearances at Elland Road.

I drove down for this game last season and met up with VOF and Harj, short notice trip so missed out on a proper meet up but walking into the ground I was asked what I thought the score would be, I said 2-0 got it right so i'll stick with that for this game Roofe scored against them that night so it's Roofey and Saiz for me this time

Pablo going off had a big effect

This. Roofe can’t play wide, no dallas on the bench. We just looked leggy in the second half... couldn’t press them, and let them build up pressure by putting clearances into row z when we could have played out sndvretsined a bit of possession.

Draw was right result in the end.

Pablo going off meant are shape and effectiveness took a big dent and Villa could then impose their game and got a deserved equaliser. Good point against a nailed on playoff side. However if Pablo has stayed on I think we would have won so plenty of positives.

Unfortunate we didn't score one or two more in first half when we completely dominated!

Love Berardi but first signing we need is a left back,

Alioski seems to have worked on his fitness but not sure about any of the others and I think Ayling has been resting too much

Veira was great today, such a prospect. Villa have imo the squad with the best pedigree a lot of genuine talent individually.

7 points out of 11 since the break, good return.

Things are an awful Lot more positive than before the International break. Point gained against one of the best teams in this league

Pablo a big loss, but where was Samu tonight? We showed good resolve after the equaliser when they were the better side.
