Hi all Leeds fans.
A Norwegian fan here. I have been reading this forum almost every day, since the days of the 606 (Don't we all miss the days of the BBC 606)
Though I do not contribute much. I enjoy reading what you guys write.
A couple of things that I've been wondering about:
So, welI as stated, I am a Leeds fan. Have been since 1974.
But alas, a real plastic; since I have never had the opportunity, nor the money to go to ER. (I support the club, by buying from the Leeds shop, of course)
However, now that things have changed; if I was to go to Leeds, I'd most likely be on my own. In the meaning, traveling alone. You know, trying to find a Leeds pub, and have some beers.
I wonder how the Leeds fans over there (UK), would welcome a fan like me. I mean like; first time in the UK, and maybe not speaking your language too well. (I Have some relatives in the US, but Yorkshire dialect may be a challenge... cough.. and my "British English", may be a challenge to you too.)
Just some thoughts from a snowman, who would like nothing more than to be a part of the Leeds family. In Leeds
Cheers
Warm welcome?

I visited in September and had the pleasure of meeting a number of people from this board.
Everyone was gracious and friendly and I was treated very well.
And then I started to meet the Leeds fans!!
Just kidding - great people here and others who are not here.
Go and enjoy it, it is a truly memorable time when you emerge into the stadium to hear the singing and chanting in person.

Like you I read often but don’t contribute much. I enjoy the discussion and opinions, which I find offer a different view to the mainstream media outlets.
With my kids grown now, I am fortunate to be able to travel a bit these days and have enjoyed three trips to the UK in recent years to attend meetups organised with contributors, now friends, I met on the old 606 site.
We always have a great time, enjoy a few beers, talk football and attend a game together. I’m sure you would receive a warm Yorkshire welcome.
But if you can, get a ticket for an away game. I have enjoyed a few away days and they are a totally different experience. Even without knowing anyone, I find the Leeds pub, grab a beer and say g’day. I always find those I talk to are amazed I have come so far to see their team and how long I have followed Leeds from afar.
Take the plunge, get a ticket to ER and you will make 30,000 new friends

Away days can be fun. I would love to get caught up in a Waccoe but haven't to date.
I went to Selhurst Park a couple of years ago and it was like we were the home team.
Spoiler Alert Crystal Palace is a dump and not nearly as nice as it sounds.

You would definitely feel welcome as other Norwegians are. I regularly meet up with Norwegian friends at ER or away games; great company and normally supply Aquavit, which never seems such a good idea the following day! Where in Norway do you live?
