FIFA The Journey 2018

I didn't like how I scored about 87 goals in last years The Journey and my d!ckhead of a mate said he was still better than me and had scored about 5 goals in total.

Scoring over 80 goals over the past couple of seasons with 40 odd assists for United, Galaxy and PSG but your 'transfer value' is still about £19m

I’m doing a player career on there which is good fun. I change his haircut every 4-5 Games
I began at Atheltico Madrid but never got a game so asked for a loan. Joined Wigan for a season and teared League 1 right up. Scored about 40 goals, had about 30 assists - I was an attacking mid!
Back at A Madrid. They are playing me CM but I now feature every game.

As for the Journey, yeah it’s ok. I never owned Fifa16 so cant compare or complain about what’s not right. That priiick of a mate of yours though, he grinded my gears. Didn’t want anything to do with him.

Yeah the characters on Journey are mostly annoying folk you'd rather not associate with.

Raptor, when you do a career mode but as a player and not a manager, do you control the whole team or just your player?

Before each game you can choose if you want to play solely as yourself or as the whole team. As a midfielder I find playing as yourself is more enjoyable as you can dictate the game. If you have a bad game you get subbed and choose to either simulate the rest of it or play as the team.
One small bugbear is that you will never begin on the bench which I find a little unrealistic. You could potentially start over 60 games and if you play well complete 90 mins in each one. If you're out of form then you won't make the squad at all.

You can simulate games from the start as well by skipping dates in the calendar but in doing so it means you wouldn't have played. So you do have to play every game more or less.

Career mode is alright!

I bet they do a Journey game for the World Cup!

I never played the Journey on Fifa 17. Would it be wise for me to do that first before starting it on Fifa 18?

Yeah I think they have been saving the internationals element for the World Cup game

The mode will probably be a lot shorter but we’ll enjoy the fighting to get in squad element.

What do people expect in Fifa 19?

I think Alex will get a girlfriend. I think he’ll move club again. I think he’ll be dropped to reserves for misbehaving.

I think he moves clubs too often but if he doesn’t then what stories do they do.

The mode has a shelf life. When they run out of ideas are they going to get rid of it or will they just allow you to play each of Alex’s seasons in future games not bothering to edit
