Couldn't have gone better tonight really could it. The only negative was Moreno's injury however, (btw i hope he recovers well) i would play Milner OR Robertson Vs Everton anyway, you know Everton would target Moreno as most coaches do.
With his injury i think we stand a better chance of keeping a clean sheet, Milner and Robertson are better defensively imo and it does no harm Moreno missing for the Everton game. It can become a bit emotional and he is a rash player that could easily give away a pen or stupid edge of the area fk.
Word out to Gomez tonight, really rate the lad and i wouldnt be surprised to see a future LFC defence of...Clyne..VVD..Gomez..Robertson. Even TAA at RB. Klavan did well tonight too but he has struggled Vs the top teams as Lovren has.
So, its Everton up next..nice...couldnt really have better preparation with the last 30 minutes a stroll and the front 4 all on fire, a home game in the Cl always helps, no travelling.
Cant wait!

I don't think he got the nod over him. Simply Klopp planed to bring off Lovren who is just back from injury and therefore Gomez would have to go into centre back, meaning TAA into right back. Having Milner on the bench with the intention of using him in midfield but also having the option to play him left back means that it's difficult to get Robertson onto the bench, such is the strength of it nowadays.

A negative?
I think Moreno being injured is a positive, the guy is one of the worst LB's playing top level. Hopefully Robertson makes it his own in his absence

I was surprised that he was so devastated about it. It's not often you see players crying over getting injured unless it means they're missing out on a once in a lifetime thing. Felt sorry for him.

That back five filled me dread when I first saw it (Gomez apart). I’m not going to miss Moreno. What does Robertson have to do to get into the side? I’m going to need to prepare myself for more unusual player selections in defence with the rotation over the coming weeks.
