Forest V Bolton Match Thread

Last time out Wanderers scored an emphatic victory over Barnsley at the Macron. Garry Madine scored two first half goals to set up the win and is starting to attract paper attention from Sunderland.
Mark Little wrapped up the points with a strike from the rightside of the box tucking it into the bottom lefthand corner of the net in the 69th minute.

PHIL Parkinson reckons referee Oliver Langford should have awarded his side THREE penalties against Barnsley – but found it difficult to hold a grudge.
“We should have had three penalties," he said. “We had one where Josh knocked it past the defender and he’s been absolutely wiped out, one where Will Buckley ran through on the left and got pulled back, which was a penalty, and the one we got was as clear as you’re ever likely to see. The lad launched him."

When told of Parkinson’s view on the three penalty calls, Barnsley boss Paul Heckingbottom joked: “He could have had three penalties, the way Ollie was refereeing today."

Bolton are a soft touch no longer with some impressive results; drawing with Reading, Sunderland and PNE, beating the Wendies and Norwich City. One has to look back to Nov' 25th for their last hammering 5-1 away to Wolves.

In the Forest end? About time Forest had a run down there. Last time I can remember was a 3-2 win several years ago. Before that, Collymore scored in a big win back in the 93/94 season.

Then there was the big 1-0 win in the League Cup semi final when Parker smashed in that extra time winner. Forest were properly under the cosh that day. Brizzle hit the post and Sutton completely lost the ball and was spinning around looking for it. Heart attack football!

Yes I'm in the away end that has recently been rebuilt since Lansdowne gave up on building a new ground. I have a mate who is a FOREST s.t.h who got me the ticket. First live Forest game that I've seen in about two years, so we need a result!

I’ve been offered a ticket but bloody can’t make it which is so annoying as I also haven’t seen Forest live for a year or two

It would have been in Home end though so probably for the best

Same as Forest, they were relying on a World Cup bid to kick start a new ground development. The away end is now the old home end at Ashton Gate, I think?

Wouldn't have thought so, can you imagine Forest putting away support in the Trent End?

The old away end has been redeveloped into a new stand so away fans are now in the opposite end, I think. The capacity is a lot more there than in used to be.

Walkers has made that RW spot his. 4 goals and 1 assist in about 6 starts. Pretty happy with Mckay and Carayol to fight for LW.

Walker got some real technical trickery about him when hes on the ball and puts in a defensive shift when teams come down the right. Granted he goes quiet for periods and could improve his movement off the ball but he's only 21.

If we only just finished top-half and finish with Smith, Worral, Walker, and maybe Brereton getting another half-season worth of experience, with reinforcements in the form of 6ft+ DCM and CBs, we're in for one hell of an interesting season afterwards.

Walker has been transformed. Think the skill was always there but he was too lightweight before and couldn’t get involved enough in games as a result. Wide right of the attacking three seems to suit him and he has been the player of the last two months undoubtedly.
